Last weekend saw Relentless put on a special show at the Troxy which was headlined by Biffy Clyro. Before tonight I had never been to the Troxy; and despite its slightly annoying location it was a beautiful venue and surprisingly empty for a sold out show!
My biggest complaint about the show was the stage times: the show lasted until 2am with DJ’s but Biffy Clyro didn’t come onstage until 10.45pm which is the time most gigs end! The majority of the crowd were likely to be there for Biffy Clyro and with travel times (made worse by the East London location) looming I couldn’t see the whole show. It pained me to have to leave a Biffy Clyro set part way through but I didn’t fancy the idea of being stranded unable to get home.
But I was lucky enough to be able to photograph the band, which almost made up for the set time. Naturally the photo pit was crammed (as is becoming a norm in the photography world) and this meant I chose to stay put for most of the show. I didn’t fancy being stuck behind a tall guy with a camera big enough to block my entire view therefore I’m not 100% happy with the finished photos (although being a perfectionist I never am!) but they give you an idea of the excitement of the show.
Here are some photos of the event:
