Slamdunk Festival 2015 Blew My Mind

The weekend just gone has single handedly been one of the best weekends i’ve had in a long time. Yes, it was Slamdunk Festival.

After doing two dates in both 2013 and 2014 this year was no difference and I made my way back up north for the Leeds leg, followed by the south date the next day. I had an amazing weekend with some amazing people, saw some fantastic live music, drank more than I probably should have and made some memories which i’ll cherish.

Some of my musical highlights of the weekend were hearing The Wild Life’s cover of Bring Me The Horizons ‘Sleepwalking’, the crowd going completely mental to Crossfaith, the teenage nostalgia I always get when listening to Finch and every single thing about the Bury Tomorrow set.

Some of my band reviews will be going live on www.mosh.hitthefloor.com over the next few days but until then here is a playlist including tracks from some of the awesome bands which I saw over the weekend.

Did you go to Slamdunk? If so what were your highlights?

This looks fab. Despite it being on my doorstep (I'm near Leeds) I'd never heard of SlamDunk festival. I'll be looking into this for next year, thanks for this useful post!

    • Rhian Westbury says:

Slamdunk is a great one to start with as there is no camping, and that's usually what people hate about festivals! x

Ohh Reading is really good, but it's not my favourite one to camp at! I'm still debating about going this year. x

Yeah it is only really good if you like heavier music to be honest, but there are plenty more out there x
