Festival Mid Point: A Look Both Forward And Back

Posted in Music

As we reach July I find it really scary to think how much of the year has gone by and how many events which I had been looking forward to for months have just passed by. Most importantly festivals.

While I haven’t done as many festivals as perhaps last summer I have been lucky enough to attend Hit The Deck in Nottingham, Slam Dunk in both Leeds and London, Camden Rocks in strangely Camden and Download Festival in Donington Park.

I’ve had some awesome memories at this summers festivals catching up with friends- and obviously the music – with Slam Dunk probably being my highlight.

Coming up I have Wireless next weekend, Reading Festival at the end of August and The Vans Warped Tour in November.

Wireless is the only new festival that i’m attending this summer which I haven’t been to before and while i’m excited I am a little anxious as i’ve never been to an urban festival before so that should be fun.

But I am really excited for Reading Festival this summer as the lineup on The Pit stage looks insane, and I haven’t seen BMTH play live since their Wembley show last December so i’m having major withdrawal symptoms there.

Next year I want to do more new festivals so i’m thinking 2000 trees for a start as the line-up always looks good, and I want to go back to Glastonbury next year as my experience in 2010 is still by the best festival experience i’ve ever had!

What festivals have you been to? Can you recommend any new ones?

    • It's not crazy, for some people festivals just aren't enjoyable. But I do think it's something everyone should experience, even if you give the camping side a miss! x
