Bedside Table Skincare

Bedside Table Skincare

I’ve been notoriously bad with keeping a routine with my skincare. For a few days I’ll be on fire cleansing, toning and moisturizing then i’ll forget and it will all go under. A few months ago I bought a cute little marble affect pot from H&M home to put on my bedside table to pop a few night time products into in the hope that I’d use them more often.

I always head to my en suite to use some Garnier Millicer Water to remove my makeup at night and then usually I run to the warmth of my bed to watch some mindless TV or read a book before going to sleep. Since adding some key products to my bedside table I am finding that I am using them so much more and I can safely say about 75% of the time I am using them which is massive for me.

But what products do I keep in there? For a while when I had fresh tattoos I had my Bepanthen nappy rash cream so I could cream them up but that’s not a constant in there. But other than that I have a mini Soap and Glory Heel Genius as I love popping this on to freshen up my feet before sliding into bed or popping my fluffy socks on depending on the weather. This cream is light, fresh feeling and not at all oily so I don’t have to worry about making marks on my sheets.

Skincare and Beauty

Next up is my new favourite moisturizer Garnier’s Moisture Nourish cream for very dry to dry skin. For less than £4 this tube is my holy grail and I stocked up the other week as it was half price in Asda! This cream is thick enough to really hydrate my skin without it feeling heavy and sticky which is great and I have noticed a massive difference in the dry patches on my face, especially around my nose.

Next up is my Dr Organic Eye Serum which I try to use all the time because sadly bad under eye skin is something which runs in my family through aging so I am trying to take care of my delicate skin now in the hope they I don’t suffer from too much puffiness and wrinkles when I get older. This cream was one I chose to get through my You Beauty box and again is softening and smooth on my skin, plus it smells amazing. I also love keeping hand cream in there as I have so many mini bottles of it waiting to be used up and it makes my hands feel lovely. Currently I have some Whish Body Butter in the almond scent in there but this changes quite regularly.

The final thing that I have in there is some Easy Morning skin cream. I always moisturize after I get out of the shower with some Lush products so this is more reserved for weekends when sometimes there’s quite a gap between getting out of bed and showering. By popping this on first thing it gives it time to seep into my skin before I go and shower and start my day. This product is from the team at My Little Box which is a monthly subscription box that I get and it’s their in house brand which is amazing.

I’ve definitely noticed a difference in having my skincare products on hand and they really don’t take up much room on my bedside table.

Do you have a strict skincare routine? Do you keep anything on your bedside table?

As a dude, I don’t really take that much care of my skin – I just drink lots of water and keep a healthy lifestyle/diet. However, I do use body butter and have never tried an almond one before, perhaps I will in the future!

I’m slack with my skin. I do the bare minimum because I find a lot too greasy.

I read all these posts and then I feel dreadful about my inadequate skincare routine. I wash my face with water only and then apply moisturizer in the morning. This is all I’ve ever done and I’m nearly 40 but I regularly get mistaken for a 20-something. I wonder if all these products are really necessary, or perhaps I’d still look like I was in my teens if I tried them, lol! 😀 Sounds like some really good products here.

What a brilliant idea to have emergency products by your bed! I will admit there have been nights when me & Mr C indulge in hand cream (not in an erotic way!) in bed 😉

I used to love Soap & Glory before I moved 🙁 I find Garnier moisturisers are quite oily no matter what skin type they claim to be for. I like them otherwise so it’s a shame. I have to stock up on that S&G cream when I go home though!

What a great idea to keep skincare by the bed! I hadn’t thought of that. I like the look of that heel product, too.

  23. March 30, 2016 / 2:36 pm

I think it’s a smart move to keep your favorite items handy. I really love the idea of having those extra samples of hand cream in a container for easy access. Good job there!

I’m totally the same way as far as being inconsistent in my beauty routine goes. I never thought to put a few on my bedside table, but I know i’d definitely use them more if I did. I will have to give this great idea a try
