Fellow bloggers will know the feeling you get when you plan a whole month’s worth of content and then a brand new product comes and blows you away so much so that you just have to talk about it: Well that’s what happened with the NYX HD Concealer.
I had read a few good things about the concealer and the thing which swayed me was the reasonable price of just £5.50. It’s one of those things where you don’t mind too much if it’s isn’t the best because you haven’t wasted too much money. When I recently headed to Selfridges I went straight to their stand to test the shades out and buy myself one of the concealers. For such a low price point there are a really good amount of shades (around 10) and I found one which matched my skin tone perfectly.
Up until this point I had been religiously using Nars’ Creamy Concealer and described it as my holy grail concealer, but my god I think I now have two holy grails,’ and in all honesty, the NYX concealer may well edge over the Nars one!
When applying the wand is the perfect size and collects enough product for me to do a few small dabs under each eye (which is where I mainly use concealer) and a little really does go a long way. It’s quite hard to explain the consistency, it’s thick enough to cover my dark bags *rejoice* but thin enough to not look cakey and not look too built up. The great thing about the concealer as well is that it feels hydrating, it feels almost like I am not just covering my bags but helping them.
I could not recommend this product enough and it’s just amazing that for a mere £5.50 it is so great, this is even cheaper than a lot of drugstore alternatives never mind the high-end versions. It’s definitely worth finding your local in-store stocklist to get your shade sorted, and in future you can order online through Boots which is great news for me.
