Staying Healthy With Lean Greens

Staying Healthy With Lean Greens

Now anyone that knows me will know that I hate most things green and I have to almost force myself to eat the vegetables which I know my body needs. This is why when the oppurtunity to try Lean Greens* came up I couldn’t turn it down. I’ve been making such an effort to try and be healthier anyway but I’ve never really found a food supplement or green drink which didn’t taste horrible so Lean Greens was always going to have high expectations surrounding it.

While the smell is a little overpowering when you do open the tub I was pleasantly surprised with the taste that I didn’t absolutely hate it (yes this is a compliment from me!) As per the suggested instructions I have been mixing one spoon of the powder with water but I have also tried it with coconut water which does taste really nice as there’s an added bit of sweetness to it.

Lean Greens

When you look at the ingredients which includes, Wheatgrass, Barley grass, Spirulina, Chlorella, Alfalfa , Spinach, Broccoli, Carrot, Blackcurrant, Blueberry and more it doesn’t scream tastiness. But normally I find that with these kinds of things I have to just down it really quickly otherwise I can’t stomach it but I didn’t find myself doing this and I actually began to enjoy it.

The powder can be used on its own or mixed with smoothies to create a kick and the tub really does go a whole way. After using this for well over a week I hardly seem to have made a dent which is great. The trick to mixing it well is to mix it up in the bottle and leave it for thirty seconds or so so that it thickens a bit, but not too long otherwise the powder will gather at the bottom.

Lean Greens is designed to be good for your gut health and everything going on inside including your digestion but I found that I had a bit more energy in the mornings and I wasn’t feeling as hungry as I normally would. This has meant no mid-morning snacking *yay*

I just saw this the other day on Twitter and I was thinking ‘what’s that all about?’, I didn’t realize it was a food supplement. I’m like you and I will try most things once and especially something which will help with my digestive system. What color is the supplement when you mix it?

I have only ever had a few green drinks before and I never like them at first but then the taste grows on me and I find them quite refreshing! I’ve been looking at food supplements a lot recently, so I’ll have to add this to my list to try 😀

Lean Greens sound like a great brand. I am usually quite good with my greens, however at the moment I am quite lazy so a good food supplement seems like something I would benefit from.

Interesting – not heard of anything quite like this before! I actually do like most of those foods, however, but not so keen on the idea of them mixed together – so perhaps I should stick to eating them separately! Still convenient to get them out of the way at once if you don’t like them, I imagine!
