New York Wishlist

new york wishlist

It’s about two and a half weeks until I head Stateside to my favourite City in the world: New York. I’ve been curating a wishlist of things I want ever since I came back from last years’ trip (and I’ve been saving for that long), so I thought I’d do a quick wishlist post to show you guys the kinda stuff I’m going to be looking out for. I have allocated special time into my busy 8 days schedule for shopping so I am hoping I can pick up quite a few bits.

Pretty much everything in Sephora: Now I won’t bore you with a huge list as my wishlist is over 20 items long but I want to grab a few more Kat Von D Liquid Lipsticks and her Tattoo liner in both black and brown as my black has almost run out, The Beauty Blender Liner Designer to get my eyeliner at least matching and the new Tarte face mist which I can’t seem to find over here. Yes there are plenty more products on here but you’ll get to see all of that in my haul post on my return *eek*

Bite Custom Made Lipstick: I have an appointment at the Bite Beauty Lab to get a custom-made lipstick created for me so I can not wait to have a special unique lip colour. I still haven’t settled on exactly what I do want, I’m thinking a deeper red which actually suits me but I’ll have to narrow it down when I arrive.

Bath and Bodyworks Candles: I know I won’t be able to bring back too many of these but my brothers’ girlfriend brought a load back when we went to NY a few years ago and they looked (and smelled) amazing so I need to grab some this time!

Everything Peanut Butter Flavoured: I absolutely love Reeses and everything which is peanut butter flavoured which is why I need to get everything. I am going to buy two of everything one to eat while I’m there and one to bring back because last time I ate everything when I was away and came back sad that I didn’t have loads to eat haha.

A Warped Tour Tshirt: Warped is a total bucket list thing to do and so while I am at the festival I am going to hit up all the merch stands and buy some bits which I know I’d struggle to get back home. I’m not sure what will be there but I’ll definitely be getting a festival Tshirt because how many people back home will have one?!

Fossil bag: Now I do not need a new bag but I have an obsession with Fossil bags and they work out quite a bit cheaper in the States (especially if you get them from Macy’s with an extra 10% off). I have trawled around on the internet and think I’ve settled on the Sydney Crossbody bag as I want a decent smaller bag to use, but I am totally open so will see what Macy’s have when I head there.

Nintendo Vans: I got so excited when I saw the Nintendo and Vans collaboration in my Inbox a few weeks ago. I was going to purchase some at home but they do work out cheaper in the States so I thought why not wait. I’ve narrowed it down to a few pairs but love the ones which say ‘Game Over’ on the bottom, so cool. I’ll have to hit up a J Crew and see what versions they have. Knowing me I’ll come back with at least 2 pairs of Vans as they’re pretty much what I wear all the time!

Lush goodies: Now I know we have a Lush here but I want to see if there are any products that I haven’t seen over in the States. Plus I have a roll top bath in my hotel room (swanky right) so want to grab a bath bomb or two to use there.

So many Pop Vinyls: My excitement for Forbidden Planet isn’t much off my Sephora excitement, pop vinyls and comics work out quite a bit cheaper there but I am going to try and look out for figures which I haven’t seen here before, or ones which work out much cheaper. I also know that Hot Topic do some exclusive ones so I’ll be keeping an eye open for those too. I want to get more in my Nightmare Before Christmas collection and perhaps some Disney Villans. My wishlist of Pop Vinyls is getting a little out of control at the moment.

Everything from Hot Topic: I bloody love Hot Topic from the quirky accessories to the awesome band merch that they have, it’s pretty much a shop which reflects my personality so well. The closest one to Manhattan is over in a shopping centre in Queens’ which I ventured to last time so I’ve scheduled another trip for this year and can’t wait. I don’t specifically know what I’m looking for but I know I’ll probably spend quite a lot of money.

Any recommendations for things I should look out for in NY? What would you buy if you were heading there?

  • Ekk have an amazing time – check what exclusives are going to be out when it comes to pops also we sometimes get them anyway as normal pops or with the Underground Toys sticker so don’t go mad you might be able to pick them up from Forbidden Planet anyway haha!

  • I hope you have a fab time! I have never been to the US so I have no clue about all the things you can get there – I am jealous of all of these things – the lipstick looks amazing

    get the list done R

I plan to stock up on Tarte when I go home for a bit later this summer. Their cosmetics aren’t full of rubbish so lessen our toxic chemical load our skin has to deal with. Unfortunately Lush puts parabens (which cause cancer) in many of their products so I’ve had to stop using them. Its a shame they promote themselves as a ‘natural’ company when they’re not. And peanut butter…I love everything peanut butter too. Have you tried the new peanut powders yet? Its like concentrated peanut buttery goodness you can add to EVERYTHING!

  • The Nintendo Vans are so cool! I love my Vans, they’re super comfy. The Tarte face mist sounds so nice, too. Have an amazing trip!!

I love Sephora, they have Benefit mascara cheaper than over here. Reeses peanut butter cups are my favourite too. I’m so jealous of you going to NY. I will be following your travels!

  • Oooh, have a fab time! If I ever manage to visit the US I would definitely make time for Bath & Bodyworks! In addition to spending a fortune in Sephora, because it doesn’t count when it’s in another currency does it?!
