Alongside beauty, homeware is one of the things I spend the most amount of money on so I thought I’d start doing some mini haul posts to showcase the things I’ve been buying. Earlier this week I headed into Primark because I think their homeware section has got so much better than it ever used to be and it’s all such good value.
The first thing you’ll notice is the dark nature of most of the items, I have white walls in my rooms and pops of colour within each room (with my bedroom being pink) so a lot of the things I buy are quite dark or black.
The first thing I picked up was a new king sized duvet cover set with a paisey floral style design on it, and as you can see from my current duvet cover underneath it’s very similar. I love darker bedspreads and this was just £13. I’ve always been impressed with the quality of Primark’s bedding and don’t find it any worse than what you’d buy in Argos/ The Range etc.
The next thing I picked up was this black and white patterned throw. It’s so super soft and this was only £4 on offer (normally £5 so still super cheap). It’s not quite cold enough to need it yet but when it starts getting colder this is going to sit on my sofa ready for me snugle up in when I’m watching Netflix and sipping my hot chocolate. Alongside being super soft it doesn’t seem to have malted at all when I have been stroking it which is great.
The next thing I picked up was this really pretty pillow which cost about £5 (I can’t quite remember as I bought this a few days prior). I originally wanted a very similar one which was a square pillow but even going back a day later I couldn’t find it instock (serves me right for not buying it there and then). This was the closest I could find and has white and black patterning with some silver glittery detailing (although you might not be able to see this in the photo). I have this sat on my bed alongside my million other cushions but you can never have too many can you?!
I’ve been using the same laundry basket since I moved into my flat almost four years ago and never really thought about replacing it until I saw this laundy bag. I love the slogan on it ‘Do what you love and love what you do’ I think the quote is amazing and so true, and being monochrome again I thought it was about time to replace my old pop up one. This is a reasonable size with a lined inside and has rope style handles which will make it really easy to carry to the washing machine, and at just £6 it was a really good price.
Next up I bought this little Alice in Wonderland hanging glass sign which says ‘It’s time for a little madness’, I do love the trinkets which Primark do especially as they have a lot of character based ones including Alice. I have no idea where I am going to hang this yet but I couldn’t resist this as it was only £2.
The final thing I bought were these two little monochrome cat trinket dishes which cost just £2. I have put these on my hallway tables and have no intention of putting anything in them as they’re so cute. I have trinket dishes on pretty much every surface around my flat so am trying to not buy any more but these were too cute to resist.
