Yesstyle created a special Korean Beauty Box* exclusively for bloggers with the top 10 must try Korean items for 2016 (see the full list here) and I was so excited when mine landed on my door-step. I have been a fan of Korean beauty products for ages but other than some Tony Moly bits I’ve not really had much of a chance to try stuff.
You can’t have a top 10 Korean box without having a Tony Moly I’m Real Sheet Mask inside, I have tried these before and love them. I got the rice mask which is designed to clear skin and know from using previously are really good. The sheets are really moisturised and always leave my skin feeling soft, smooth and hydrated after using.
There were a few items from Etude House within the box including a Collagen Eye Patch which is a plastic strip formulated with collagen to help plump up and minimise lines around your eyes. It’s designed to cleanse your eyes and hydrate the skin around and I can’t wait to give it a try.
I’d never heard of Tosowoong but there was a pack of Blackhead Nose Pack which are again small strips designed to be placed over the nose to help remove blackheads and sebum alongside cleansing pores. You leave them on for 10-15 minutes and remove slowly pulling away your blackheads. I’ve only tried these once but I definitely noticed a difference after using them.
The next item from Etude House was Colour Me Brows which is a mascara brush styled brow stain with a rich brown shade designed to lighten your brows to create a brighten appearance. I have never used brow products as my brows are quite thick and not overly well shaped so I have put off doing much with them before. When I get into the habit of doing them properly I’m definitely going to give this a go.
Eyeliner is pretty much my favourite product so I was quite excited to see the Beauty People 10 Seconds Auto Pencil Eyeliner included. I have tried it out before and it’s really highly pigmented which is great as I love dark eyeliners and it dries in just a few seconds. There’s even a sharpener on the end to make sure it’s always ready for application.
There were also a few items from Berrisom included- another brand I hadn’t heard of – and the Oops My Lip Tint was one of the items included and it’s meant to be a peel-off lip tint which you apply a layer off, let it dry for 5-10 minutes then peel away for 12 hours of colour. I bought a version of this on Ebay and didn’t find I was able to peel it off but when I tried this version I did manage to peel it off to reveal a nice colour. I have yet to trial out the longevity so I’ll keep you posted on that.
The final Extude House included was a Precious Mineral BB Cream Cover & Bright Fit. I am a massive fan of BB creams as they cover imperfections and even out my skin tone. Having used this a few times I’ve found it really moisturises and blends well over my skin and the best thing about it is the fact that it has SPF30 which will be handy when the sun does actually appear.
The item I was most excited about in the box was the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask as a lip mask is something I’ve been meaning to get for a while. Using a lot of liquid lipsticks my lips can become a little dry and this lip sleeping mask is designed to dissolve dead skin while you sleep to make your lips plumper and more moisturised. The sleep mak comes with a little applicator and it smells like sour berrys which is so nice.
The second Berrisom item was the Oops Tint Cheek Cushion which is an emulsion type blusher with a built-in cushion applicator to create a flawless finish. When you press the tube the cushion soaks up the colour and you just tap it on your cheeks and spread it with your fingers or a light brush. The colour is quite bright so you don’t need very much but it does last a long time.
The final item is a MacQueen Creamy Lip Tint in nude coral which is a moisturised glossy lip colour. I’m not a huge fan of glosses as I find them quite sticky so I haven’t given this much of a try but it is a very pretty colour for those who are fans of glosses.
