Music I’m Loving At The Moment

Music I’m Loving At The Moment

I realised the other day that I’ve done playlists about nostaligic music and stuff which pumps we up at the gym but not a lot about the current music which I am loving. Anyone who reads my blog (or even glances over) will probably guess that I like music on the heavier end of the spectrum but I am partial to other types of music. Despite being a music editor and getting through tonnes of music I don’t actually listen to a huge amount of new music very much but I’ve been going back to things I love or preparing for shows I know I have coming up.

Knowing that Red Hot Chili Peppers are playing London in December (and watching a hilarious carpool karaoke clip with them) has made me re-listen to a lot of Chili Pepper tracks like ‘Under the Bridge’ and ‘Californication’, and seeing as Halloween is coming up I have been re-listening to The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack – of course. Another thing which has swayed my music at the moment is the discovery of some old CD’s which I have moved to my car to work through, most of them are unmarked and are generally around ten years old so there’s some absolute corkers in there. It’s made me realise how great the first Arctic Monkeys album is, although I can not sing along without adopting a fake Northern accent – is it just me who does this?!

Below is a small playlist of some of the tracks which I have been playing a lot over the past few weeks.

What have you been listening to?

I do love the Chilli’s and The Arctic Monkeys, but only their first couple of albums. Yesterday, my husband said to me “Do you know what? I HATE the Red Hot Chilli Peppers.” WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT

I am more a fan of the red hot chilli peppers personally. I am getting right into country music just now!

Good choices on music! I’m now adding The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack to my listen again list.
I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning and clearing (call it Autumn cleaning) and have been getting through it with the help of Mika! I love him so much! 😀

I’m the same with the Arctic Monkeys! I’ve started listening to their first album again and have fallen in love with it. Especially ‘A certain romance’ and yes I do seem to sing with a fake northern accent! x

Not a fan of the Arctic Monkeys.. Not my style of music. I’ve been listening to a lot of Meat Loaf as I adore his music and they make me feel good.

There is some definite nostalgia for me in your playlist!! Chilli Peppers used to be my life and the kooks naive sums up my last year in secondary school! I still listen to Kate Nash now on my way to work she’s my peppy wake up before the enslaught of a day in retail!
