Christmas Gift Guide For Your Best Friend

December 5, 2016
best friends

As much as a guide for presents for your best friend this could easily be a guide of presents I’d love to buy myself as each and every item on this list is something I’d be over the moon to see under the tree at Christmas. I have a large group of friends and with some groups we like do to Secret Santa’s but there are some special people who I buy for regardless as I want to show them how much they mean to me and how much I love them. With this in mind here are some awesome gifts to spoil your best friend with.

Burts Bees

Burt’s Bees Beeswax Bounty Gift Set*£12.99

Most of you have probably heard of Burt’s Bees before but did you know that they’re completely natural with all of body care with no additives and no animal testing? That isn’t all that unusual for brands now but Burt’s Bees have been doing it for over 30 years’! There are so many stocking fillers and treats from the brand but you can’t really go wrong with lip balms especially when they’re as moisturizing as these. Within the set, you get four scents including Mango, Vanilla, Pomegrante and Honey. I’m pushing myself to use lip balms more as my lips get in awful condition at this time of year but I can’t decide which scent is my favourite.

New York Is Always A Good Idea Print£9.20 + Postage

I bought this New York poster print a few months ago because I had just come back from the city and I was missing it a lot. I spent ages looking aorund for the perfect print as I didn’t want one which was too colourful which is when I found this monochrome card with a touch of gold foil print which stands out beautifully from the white card. I love absolutely everything about this and knowing a few New York obsessed friends I’ll definitely be grabbing a few more for presents.

Paintballing vouchersFrom £9 per person

I love planning events and experiences’ for friends as much as buying them physical presents and paintballing is something which has been on my to do list for ages. GO Paintball London offer VIP paintballing vouchers will allow a group of up to 8 people a full days’ admission and all of the equipment hire. With the vouchers it includes a free Domino’s pizza lunch which I’m sure after all that running around you’d need to keep fuelled. I’d love to grab a team of friends together and have a day out shooting paintballs, although I definitely think I’d end up multicolored and full of bruises. If you purchase vouchers they last from January 2017 for six months for any public paintball event and what’s even better is that they’re over 75% off at the moment so you can grab a great deal.

Xmas Beauty Feet

Beauty Socks* £8.99

These beauty socks are a comfy black pair of socks with a difference as they have an integrated heel pad which moisturises and nourishes your feet to leave them super soft and I know these would be super handy for my friends who are on their feet a lot during the day. If you’ve got cracked or damaged heels usually it takes 7-14 days of using creams and potions to get them looking and feeling good again but you’ll start noticing results after your first wear of these.

Wayne and Garth Pins £16.44

Pins seem to be absolutely everywhere and I have to admit I am totally obsessed with them as well so this might well be something I not only purchase as a gift but also buy for myself. Waynes’ World is one of my favourite movies because well it’s genius so these Wayne and Garth pins were way too cute to let get away. I love the way these look hand drawn and they have the iconic ‘Party on Wayne/ Party on Garth’ printed underneath’.

Wide Angle Selfie Lens£8.99

I know how much I hate selfie sticks but sometimes you need something more than the range on your phone to take the perfect selfie or group shot selfie which is where the wide-angle selfie lens is perfect. You can clip it over the front or back camera of your phone and it works straight away so there’s no more stretching your arm out and trying so hard to get everything into a photo. It’s small enough to tuck away in your pocket or handbag so you always have it when the oppurtunity arises. I’m definitely going to be grabbing a few of these for presents.

Xmas Biscuits

Biscuiteers Nutcracker Christmas Tin*£35.00

Firstly have you ever seen something edible as pretty as these?! I thought not! Biscuiteers have been a firm favourite with me since I discovered their Easter box but they’ve approached the designs of their Christmas range slightly differently using new techniques for decorating the biscuits. Every single biscuit sold by Biscuiteers is hand decorated, so each one is well and truly unique and you can see the quality just looking at them. Some of the Christmas collections have been sprayed with edible metallic icing to give them a more luxe look and you can see how beautifully done these Nutcracker biscuits are. The three layers of beauty come housed in a hard tin tacked down with icing meaning they won’t move around during delivery and they won’t damage. Of course the taste test is just as important and with all natural ingredients the biscuits were soft yet not crumbly and sweet yet not sicky, everything you want a biscuit to be. Everyone tends to give chocolates at Christmas so go for something different and give biscuits.

Duchess London

I’d be lying if I said I didn’t love dresses and evening wear and Duchess London are perfect for busy professional women who work hard and have a hugely busy schedule. The dresses are designed to be both smart and professional but usable for both the working day but also a social setting; think those days where you’re heading out for leaving drinks after a day in the office. The brand have launched an awesome feature called My Fitting Room which allows you to be sent a selection of items to try on in the comfort of your own home without the glare of fitting room lights before making a decision on what to purchase, sending back what’s not right. The brand are hugely focused on the social and environmental impact that fashion has so they’re the perfect choice for the friend who doesn’t like disposable fashion. If you know your friend well enough you might be able to find the perfect dress for them otherwise opt for a gift voucher so they can choose something themselves.

Xmas Poster
Vintage Travel Poster* – £10.00

I always think that artwork makes a lovely present for anyone and while some might love monochrome quote posters this isn’t for everyone. Vinyl Revolution have a whole host of posters’ which come in around A4 size which is quite cheap and easy to frame and the vintage travel posters are perfect for those friends who are full of wanderlust and a want to travel. It was such a tough decision when I was trying to choose a print but I opted for this ‘See Europe Next’ poster as it covered a whole host of European cities as opposed to just focusing on one. I have a friend who loves to travel and I know this would make the perfect gift for her. The quality as well is really good for a poster like this, it isn’t the horrible thick cardboard but it’s not thin and flimsy, and the colours in the poster fit the vintage vibe so well while still being vibrant.
