By this point in December chances are you’ll either be finishing off your Christmas shopping – or if you’re like me being smug as you’ve been done for a few weeks – or you might be rushing around frantically trying to buy gifts as you’re not quite finished but Christmas is less than two weeks away *eek*. I was going to do another specific guide but then I decided that by now you’d probably need a guide with some cool presents on which are pretty much applicable to anyone.
Grants Whisky* – From £12
When I think of whisky Grant’s is always the first brand to come to mind as I always remember my dad and grandpa sharing a glass of it after dinner when I was a kid. While some spirits go through popular spells such as gin at the moment, some are just popular throughout time like whisky and for many it’s the chosen spirit. Did you know that Grant’s is the olest family owned blended Scotch whisky? The company are even still independantly owned and run by the fifth generation of William Grant’s direct descendants so it’s nice to know the whisky is still made within the family. Smooth, rich and mellow it’s everything a whisky should be.
Medium Christmas Cookie Yankee Candle- £18.99
You can never have too many candles, especially when their Yankee ones. Yes, there are cheaper ones out there but Yankee always looks good because they scream quality. I am all for baking smells at Christmas and after buying a votive of the Christmas Cookie scent I know it smells incredible. Treat someone to a scent which will remind them of freshly baked cookies all year round.
Cosy Gingerbread Socks – £8.00
Okay these are probably more suited to a lady (although there’s no reason why a man can’t rock fluffy gingerbread socks). I am a huge fan of cosy socks and pretty much always end Christmas with multiple pairs and with a huge obsession with gingerbread men I knew these had to appear somewhere. Hopefully my family have the hint that I’d love these to appear under the Christmas tree.
Gentle Grip Socks* – £9.99
My Nan is always going on about how cold her feet get in the winter but she struggles to wear socks as they dig into her ankles, especially when they’re swollen. This is where Gentle Grip come in as they have a Honeycomb Top instead of elastic which means there are no nasty marks left on the legs. If you know someone with bad ankles or poor circulation then these would be the perfect gift.
Hotel Chocolat Hamper– £25.00
Who doesn’t love chocolate?! Like seriously! You can’t go wrong with chocolate regardless of who you’re buying for and a hotel chocolat hamper is the perfect gift to show how much someone means to you. Filled to the brim with yummy treats I’d really have to restrain myself from eating it all before Christmas dinner if I received this.
Baby It’s Cold Insulated Mug- £10.00
Insulated mugs make awesome presents, and slogan everything seems to be in at the moment so this mug fits that perfectly. With an awesome wintr theme and Baby it’s cold written on it I think this would make a great Secret Santa present, or special something for anyone. It doesn’t matter if the person isn’t a tea or coffee drinker as there’s always hot chocolate.
Filter Coffee*- £2.69+
Most people rely on coffee to help wake them up in the morning, or for their morning routine at work so coffee is always a great idea for a present. Rombouts are a family-owned coffee roaster who invented the One Cup Filter all the way back in 1958 and they’re still going strong. Their packaging may have changed but the quality is there, with four varieties including Original, Italian, Columbian and Decaf. All you have to do is pop the filter on top of your cup and pour hot water through it so they’re easy to use at work or on the go.
Floral Woven Scarf- £14.00
Scarves make perfect presents for people at Christmas, especially as we suddenly seem to have turned pretty arctic at the moment, this floral scarf is so pretty and you know with Next you’re getting good quality.
Monthly Treatbox Subscription– £12.95
I have been getting the Treatbox subscription box for quite a few months now and unlike beauty boxes I have never been disappointed by a single one which is why it would make such a great treat for anyone. You get lifestyle items inside which can include sweets, beauty, homeware, stationary etc, and they’re always packaged so beautifully. There’s always a distinct theme each month so if you want someone to have a gift every month you can buy a one off, or a 3/6/12 month subscription. You can even choose to make your own box and choose from some beautiful items.
Star Wars Heating Changing Mug* – £7.99
Mugs tend to be a staple gift at Christmas but sometimes they can get a bit samey which is why I got so excited when I saw this star wars mug. Firstly it’s totally topical with Rogue one out later this week but it’s so cool as it’s heat changing. As soon as you add hot water to it the light sabres around the edges light up in thr correct colours.
