Bucket List For 2017

Bucket List For 2017

I have to admit despite the shit going on in the world for me 2016 was a pretty great year and I am quite sad to see it go, but onto bigger and better things. 2017 is set to be another amazing year and I want to take full advantage of all opportunities which present themselves to me. I always have an ever growing list of things I want to do and things I want to experience so I am going to try and squeeze as much as I can into 2017 so in light of that here are some bucket list items.

Go out of the country at least five times

I have Amsterdam, Crete, Hawaii and possibly Bali already booked so it looks like I’ll hit this one. 2016 was an amazing year where I went out the country every month but this year I want to balance it a bit better.

Experience Go Ape

I have been saying for about three years’ that I want to go to go ape and it just hasn’t happened because everyone I remember about it it’s getting into Autumn when it’s colder, then I pledge to do it next year and a cycle has erupted.

Go to at least three theater shows

I have neglected going to the theater so much over the past few years’ even though I love it and my list of must see’s is getting so long now including Aladin, School of Rock, Kinky Boots and Sunny Afternoon to name a few.

Get my PADI qualification

After an unsuccessful first attempt due to extreme cold weather and way too much gear to navigate I didn’t get my PADI qualification in 2016 so when it warms up I want to go back to the London School of Diving and get my qualification.

Get my blog DA over 35

I currently am sat at a DA of 29 and have been working really hard to try and get it over the 30 mark and with a full 12 months’ ahead I want to get it up 7 points to sit at the mid 30’s this gives me leeway that if there’s a bad month and I drop I still stay over 30.

Stay organized with my blog

During 2016 I achieved a great routine of being on track and organized with my blog writing and I managed to post out almost every day of the year (few odd days off for holidays’ etc) and I want to maintain this in 2017.

Don’t neglect anyone I care about

I’m always the person who organizes trips and arranges to see people and while I am absolutely fine with this I want to make more of an effort to catch up and see people. I have a friend in Reading and another in Oxford who I don’t get to see anywhere near as much as I’d like to even though they don’t live far away.

Not be afraid to tell people how I feel

It’s less a bucket list item and more a resolution but I want to be less scared about what others’ think and tell people how I feel more. I tend to keep my feelings bottled up inside and if I had issues I’d suffer in silence but I want that to change in 2017 and I want to be able to feel like I can vent if I need to, or even simply tell people how much they mean to me.

Lose at least two stone

2016 was a shit year for my diet and I have been so bad so I really want to make an effort in 2017 to make healthier choices, eating out less (or at least not always opting for the burgers’) and try to get myself to a position where I don’t hate my own body.

Do you have any resolutions or bucket list items?

Hawaii sounds amazing. I would love to go one day! Go Ape is great fun, I haven’t been for a while but loved it. I can totally recommend Slimming World for your weight loss goal – I lost a stone in a month before I fell pregnant 🙂 Good Luck! xx

The traveling resolution is definitely one of mine too. I have passed my PADI qualification while in Mexico and that really was a great experience. I hope you’ll be able to take yours 🙂

I’m with you on a lot of your resolutions. Can you tie your padi qualification in with one of your travels? I did the pool stuff in the UK but did the open dive part of the qualification in warmer waters. It was a few years ago so don;t know if you can still do it that way?!
