I am definitely a Lush obsessive, I can not have a bath without at least a bath oil and a bath bomb thrown in for good measure. I only get the chance to have a relaxing lay in the bath around once every 10 days- 2 weeks so I know when I have one I want it to be luxurious and special which is where Lush comes in. When Lush bring out a new range I am in there quicker than you can blink to have a look at the bath bombs and delights and over the past 10 days, I have made not one but two trips to Lush stores to grab some of the Easter items, alongside some other goodies.
I happened to be in Stratford a few weeks’ ago and couldn’t walk past without having a quick look in there and a few products just happened to fall into my hands *oops*. This time I picked up five products including two of the Mmmm marshmallow bath melt’s, one blackberry bath bomb, one ups-a-daisy bath bomb and some of the tooth powder in Ultrablast.
The Mmmm marshmallow bath melt’s literally smell like candy and due to their pink and yellow colour I know they’ll look really pretty in my bath water. I always find the melts really soften the water in my bath and make my skin silky smooth.
The Lush Ups-a-daisy bath bomb is from their Spring/ Mothers’ Day collection and is a beautiful brightly coloured daisy with one side being orange and pink and the other being yellow and turquoise. From looking at others’ photos of this I know this is going to look amazing in the bath but the decision will be which side to place up in the bath.
The final bath product that I bought was the Blackberry bath bomb because the dark colour just called out my name. It’s a purple/ black colour and while I’ve not seen any reviews of this I am sure there’s some hidden surprise inside, if not I’ll be bathing like my inner goth.
I have never tried any of the Lush teeth products so after smelling the Ultrablast tooth powder I knew I had to give it a go. It’s meant to smell of mint and wasabi due to the garden pea powder, peppermint, and spearmint but in all honesty, I could only smell the mint which was so strong. You’re meant to just dab your toothbrush into the powder and use it as you would use normal toothpaste so I’m interested to see how this works.
A few days later I then happened to be on Oxford Street and I pretty much can not be here and not make a trip into Lush as there always seem to be some goodies which either are only in the larger stores or seem to be exclusives to the main London store. I was pretty restrained as I knew I already had a lot at home so I just bought two bath bombs and two more oil melts.
The first thing I bought the Guardians of the forest which is a kitchen exclusive. I love the look of the calming greens and the scent is pretty fragrant with an obvious rosewood smell coming through. I’m not expecting anything super unusual for this but I quite like the idea of the tranquil relaxing green taking over the bath.
The next thing I bought was the Metamorphosis bath bomb which I’ve read a few things about but not seen images of. The bath bomb is a dark grey nearing black bath bomb with a slightly glittery exterior. When you add it into the bath the grey exterior is meant to fizzle away to showcase some super bright colours like oranges, yellows, and pinks so it’s pretty much me; dark on the outside but bright and colourful on the inside. I want to use this one quick as if I like it I’m definitely going to be stocking up.
The bath oil’s I bought were Orange blossom – another kitchen exclusive – which is a super bright bath oil with a citrus smell but my god do these ones make a mess, just touching it lightly got orange and glitter over my fingers. I love how vibrant the colour is but I’ll need to choose it’s accompanying bath bomb very carefully to not ruin the colours, I’m thinking the yellow and orange over and over bath bomb which is a recent Lush addition.
Finally, I bought the Double vitality bath oil because it was a pretty pink star and reminded me of the Christmas Snow Fairy items. It doesn’t smell all that similar with peppermint and lemon scents in the bath oil which smell incredible. I can’t wait to use this alongside a Cupid bath bomb from the Valentine’s range for a pink infused princess bath.
