The Wonders Of Hawaii: Photo Diary

Posted in Travel

The reality has kicked in that I am now back from one of the most epic trips of my lifetime; Hawaii. I’ve been banging on about this trip for what feels like forever and I can’t believe that it’s now over. Just under 2 weeks’ ago I set off to Heathrow for an eight-day trip of the island with Trek America which was even better than I imagined.

I’ll be doing a full post on the tour including my thoughts on Trek America themselves so please enjoy the photos below of my trip. A lot of people expect Hawaii to be all about the sunshine, beaches, and surfing and while yes it was hot and there were beaches a lot of people see movies/ images of Hawaii and make assumptions. The capital Honolulu is what a lot of people think of when they think of Hawaii when in actual fact this is on a small island called Oahu and I went to the Hawaii/ Big Island which was an island of stark contrasts. Desert lands with black beaches, volcanic craters and lava flow compared to valleys, waterfalls, and rainforest feels.
