Must Haves For Holidays And The Warmer Weather

Posted in Beauty

It’s so nice to be able to say that summer feels like it’s finally here. I’ve had days when I could go out with a skirt and no tights on and I’ve had plenty of times where sunglasses have been needed. I don’t mind the cooler weather but it has made me very happy to see the blue skies and feel the heat on my arms.

I seem to have done my holiday’s the wrong way around and had most of my summer holidays in April/ May and now I have just a few UK weekends away and Autumn holiday’s to look forward to but it hasn’t stopped me from searching around for the best products to keep me going through the warmer weather.

Superdrug have all of your holiday and festival essentials so you can stock up in one go from blisters, hangovers, allergies and even drunken one night stands. A lot of the star summer products are one a Buy 1 get 1 half price offer which means you won’t be shelling out as much as you think.

I am very lucky that I don’t suffer from hayfever but I know some of the people closest to me suffer a lot with it, especially when we’re out and about so I like to keep some essentials in my flat to ensure that people don’t suffer at the hand’s of hayfever, the One-A-Day Hayfever & Allery Tablets* are perfect for this as you can take just one tablet first thing to help relieve the symptoms of both hayfever and other allergies like pets, dust mites and even skin allergies like rashes.

It’s always useful to keep something in my handbag especially when I’m out with my other half so theHayfever Relief For Adults Nasal Spray* is great for this as you just need to spray it into the nostril daily to lessen symptoms, so much so that you may need less sprays as you go on. It’s such a small bottle and there’s a lot of liquid in there so something like this could last all summer.

I don’t know about everyone else but the summer time is when I’m way more susceptible to cutting myself, be it from all the additional BBQ cooking, or from climbing around outside exploring new places so a box of Fix ‘Em Emoji Plasters* lives in my medical drawer. I’m such a kid when it comes to plasters and I always love the colourful or character based ones as if you’ve hurt yourself why not be happy looking at the plaster. These emoji plasters aren’t just fun but they’re water resistant, breathable and they won’t stick to your wound, the number of ones I’ve used where they just peel off is unreal.

Despite not having hayfever sometimes I do find that my eyes can get irritated especially when I’m out in hot countries, or am drier areas so for this the Dry Eye Spray Mist* is perfect as you just need to spray it towards your eyes to refresh your eyes and eyelids. What’s even better is that it’s contact lens friendly so you know it’s not going to do any damage to your lens.

One thing I tend to find when I’m at festivals is that I feel a bit bleary eyed or the worst my eyes look bloodshot, now this is all self-inflicted and probably due to a few too many ciders, or the fact that makeup seems a lot harder to remove when you’re using wipes in a tent. The cure for this are  Brightening Eye Drops which once dropped into the eyes will help reduce redness and make you feel more refreshed and brighter. perfect when you’ve not had a huge amount of sleep the night before.

Generally, I do feel more awake in the summer time but this doesn’t mean that I always have energy. I find like most people that I tend to push myself in the summer and always want to be doing things and exploring new places, relaxation isn’t something I do much of. This is why I’ve started using Glucose Plus C* which is a powder that you mix with water that is full of Glucose and Vitamin C to give you both an energy boost and relieve any tiredness you may have. It’s no substitute for a good night’s sleep but it can help in the interim.

Now you never want to think about getting ill when you’re on holiday or enjoying the sunshine but it happens especially if you don’t drink enough water. I know when I was in Zante one year I got a little ill at the beginning because I wasn’t replacing the fluids in my body quick enough. Thankfully you ca get a Rehydration Treatment* which will help to replace the nutrients and bits that your body losses when you’re ill

Going on 18-30 holiday’s are increasingly common and with the world being more sex positive having a one night stand or a quick holiday fling is perfectly acceptable but you need to look after yourself. Contraception can be a tricky topic especially when you’ve had a few drinks or you’re not at home with your supply in your bedside table. It’s always worth being prepared with One Mixed Condoms which offer a mixture of types includes flavours and textures.
