So many times I find awesome tops online but I find that I don’t like the style of it or the colour just isn’t right so it’s great when you find places where you can customize and print your own clothing. Contrado* do just that have more than 300 handmade custom items and fabrics that you can print and design with whatever you want, and this isn’t just limited to t-shirts, you can go for a dress, a pair of shoes, a scarf, underwear and even home items like bedding, tea towels and kitchenware.
When I was making my order the site was so easy to navigate, the only issue I had was what to choose. Sometimes when you’re offered unlimited choice it can send your mind into overdrive. I knew I wanted a t-shirt dress as they’re something I really want more of but what design!? I decided to just Google around and look at other clothing I liked and I settled on a mandala style design. The background of the image of was black so I decided to match the dress to the same colour, now I could have been crafty and Photoshop cut it out and added the design onto a coloured dress but to be honest that seemed like a lot of effort.
When you choose your item and size there’s so much flexibility with what you design, you can choose to have no tags which of course I went for, no one needs tags scratching them, you can add a design on the back, have different colours front to back and so much more. Your imagination is the only limitation. Making the actual design is so easy and the site is really easy to navigate and work from.
After choosing a t-shirt dress for me I decided to be a bit more creative and choose a top for my other half with a logo from his favourite band, The Prodigy. I went all out on this and opted for a black back to the top, a white front with pink short sleeves and piping colours down the side. I wasn’t sure how my random creation would come out but it actually worked pretty well.
When the tops arrived just a few days later they were made from really good quality fabrics and I was so happy with the way the designs had come out, the brands 10-years of practice has certainly paid off.
Have you ever customized any clothing?
