Three New Pairs Of Shoes I Couldn’t Be Without This Summer

Holiday Essentials Sandals

When I went on my beach holiday to Crete earlier this year I was very unprepared when it came to footwear. I had some flip flops when ended up staining my feet blue from the heat, and some cheap Primark sandals which hurt so much I couldn’t wear them after the first night. As soon as I came home I purchased three pairs of shoe’s which have made the past few week’s of warm weather so much more pleasant.

Dorothy Perkins Tan Sandals

Around the May bank holiday weekend, I was browsing around on the House of Fraser website and found some beautiful brown tan sandals. I’m not a fan of sandals which have anything between the toes as they’re just uncomfortable and due to the excess of black I usually wear I was drawn to these as they were a little different. There’s a thick tan strap which goes across the top of the foot with two smaller straps above the toes one which is a gold material and one which has a print on it, and there’s a thin tan strap which curves around the ankle with a buckle. Considering I am not really a sandal wearer and tend to live in my vans these are super comfortable and I wore them for hours without them hurting.

Sandals

Office elastic sandals

I wanted a quick, easy pair of sandals, something I could slip on and off easily if I was going to a beach or something as opposed to having to battle with buckles and these elastic sandals from Office are perfect. They have a lot of give in the straps but keep their shape when on which is perfect, and due to the material they’re very lightweight and don’t stick to your feet when you get a bit sweaty.

Flip Flops

Havaianas flip-flops

After my Accessorize flip flops failing me I decided to look into Havaianas’s as they’re such an iconic brand for flip flops and I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced they were, mine cost me just £18 which was far less than I’d expected. I actually bought mine from Schuh as I loved the purple and pink patterning on these and the little flower which hangs from the strap is such a cute addition. They’re noticeably more comfortable than other flip flops and having walked around for a few hours with them on I didn’t notice the bits between my toe’s rubbing so I am hoping this carries on.

The only problem I find with wearing sandals and open shoes all the time is that my feet don’t always look their best, but that’s when Beauty Feet* come in for when I’m at home or at work when I’m in closed toe shoes. On the outside they look like an ordinary pair of black socks – comfy ones at that – but there’s something hidden away inside and that’s an integrated heel pad which is designed to moisturize and nourish your feet leaving them super soft all day long. So when you’ve been wearing sandals or going barefoot and your feet are a little cracked/ damaged you can pop a pair of these on and notice results after just one wear.

Love my Havaianas. Have had mine for about 5 years and they still look and feel as good as new. Apart from them, I love flat sandals, especially embellished ones for going from day to night x

  • I am loving the tan sandals from Dotty Ps they are gorgeous, I might have to see if my local one has any in!

  • I would be lost without my Vans and flip flops in the summer. I think I need to invest in some good flip flops though, I always have to replace my cheap ones every year.

I envy people who can walk in flip-flops. Sadly, I’m not one of them. They look so handy to pop in a bag.

  • Donna

I totally agree i have very similiar pairs! I love my havainas the most they are soooo comfy

  • Battlemum

I do like the first ones and am a big fan of Havaianas. In fact I’m on the hunt for another pair of them!

  • I think the top pair from DP are my faves of these 3 🙂 I struggle to find comfy summer shoes

  • Suzy Mccullough

Comfy shoes for summer are so essential. Cheap flip flops are not really worth it I agree. Best to spend a bit of money on them.

  • These shoes are perfect for summer! I like the top ones, they are very stylish

  • Hungry_Healthy_Happy

A good pair of elastic sandals are essential. Especially if you are walking lots in the heat.

  • FussFreeJen

I love that summer means new shoes. But I’m still to find anything I actually want other than bog standard pumps, how very boring. I did see some rather fabulous wedges the other day, but still not bought them. And still looking for the right flip flops. I think I’m just too fussy.

  • I like the Dorothy Perkins Tan Sandals, simple and not too bulky – perfect for summer, I think!

  • I have been really struggling with my sandals this year and love the look of the Office elasticated ones. I am not so good with post toe shoes, so they seem perfect options to me!

  • mummyslittlemonkey

I can’t imagine my life without my Havaianas – I think I own about six pairs in all different colours, but if were up to me I’d have 100 pairs in EVERY colour! x

  • Esther Mukoro

Nice collections you’ve got there. I really like those Dorothy Perkins tan sandals, it looks so simple and yet elegant. I am off to get mine 🙂

  • I struggle so much when I go away. My feet almost always swell so last time I went I took all shoes a size to big and my feet didn’t swell up not even for the first day. luckily I managed. Sadly I can’t wear havianas they make the soles of my feet burn and i’ve tried them a few times I tend to stick to the 90p primark pairs but they can be hit and miss but for 90p a better option for me x

  • I am living in flip flops at the moment! Haven’t been into Dorothy Perkins in ages, but those sandals are lovely. xx

  • Natasha Mairs

I love my sandals and have a few pairs. I really like the look of the black Office ones
