I am pretty bad when it comes to weather appropriate clothing, I still wear jeans and short sleeve cardigans in the summer and it’s rare that you’ll see me with a jumper or a big coat in the winter time. I’ve had clear out after clear out of my wardrobe and I still own too much but it doesn’t stop me from wanting more. I can’t wait until the weather is cool enough to allow me to start layering more as I love combining jackets and cardigans and t-shirts to make myself look a bit like the Michelin man.
I have a 25% off Office voucher which is valid for September so I see this as the perfect time to buy some more ankle boots as I know I’ll get a lot of use out of them in the Autumn and Winter months as they look just as good with skinny jeans as they do with a skirt and tights. I have quite a few black pairs so I don’t think I’ll be going monochrome, I’m thinking either tan or a dark grey but that’s going to depend on what Office have on offer.
The summer and festival season might be over but I still love fringed clothing and I’d love to get a skirt with tassels just so I can feel like it’s nicer weather than it will inevitably be outside, plus I can channel my inner cowgirl here. I’ve seen a lot of black belts which have tassels attached to them and this might be a good alternative as it will give me the option to wear the skirt plain or to remove the belt if the tassels start to annoy me and there’s a big chance of that. I also love fringe detailing on the bottom of jackets and kimono’s which adds an additional layer.
The embroidered trend has been around for a while and I absolutely love it because floral detailing is beautiful but I’ve yet to buy some jeans as I’ve just not managed to find a style which I like, sometimes the embroidery just looks cheap, sometimes the jeans don’t go up to my size, or if all of those factors aren’t an issue they make them with holes on the knees, why?!?! I tend to live in jeans quite a lot so I need to add an embroidered pair to my wardrobe.
