Christmas Gift Guide for Personalised Items | 2017

Christmas Gift Guide for Personalised Items | 2017

For me, personalized items are one of my favourites to buy at Christmas time as they really show a lot of thought and effort, and they’re generally something you will have had to plan a little bit in advance. Although thankfully so many online retailers now have the option to order personalized items until pretty close to Christmas, although sometimes it’s not worth the risk.

Here are some of my favourite personalized items for this Christmas.

Xmas Port

Personalized Port – £41.99

Alcohol gifts always go down well in my family and usually there are not too many ways you can personalize a bottle of drink but that’s a thing of the past now. This personalised port* from GiftsOnline4U has a beautiful embossed and engraved pewter label which you can choose to engrave however you want. The label which I picked was a Christmas bottle so I had an engraved present surrounding the label but there are loads of other designs available. As the label is a good size you get 3 lines of text of around 84 characters in total which is a good space to add your message. The label itself is a good thickness so it looks sturdy but not too bulky.

You get a decent 75cl bottle and it’s full of a fine ruby port from Portugal and the gift itself is made in-house in Lincolnshire. From the second I ordered it the process was really quick and straightforward and there are customization options for the font that’s printed on the label. I’m sure my dad is going to love drinking this, although I know he won’t get rid of the bottle once he’s done. If port isn’t your thing there’s plenty of other personalised Christmas gifts to choose from.

Xmas Cooking Book

Personalized Cookbook – Starting from £15

I don’t know about you but I love cookbooks, they give me so much inspiration and help me think of ideas of what to make, although I have to admit sometimes I find myself browsing through Tasty instead of picking up a book.

With this personalized cookbook* through you can choose exactly what style of recipes you want to be included inside from curries and BBQ treats through to vegan and healthy options. When you choose to order yours it’s so easy and you can customize the name on the front, the message inside and the recipes included within. It’s such a simple ordering process and it took me all of 5 minutes to place my order but it’s such a unique item, something I know my mum will love as she’s always on the hunt for more recipe ideas.

If you know a foodie or avid cook then this could be the perfect gift for them.

Xmas Luke Beard Kit

Personalized Beard Grooming Set – £24.99

It isn’t just us ladies who can enjoy a bit of beauty and pampering, men deserve it just as much as we do. There are a lot of beard orientated sets out there as the concept of facial hair seems to be on trend at the moment (yay for beards) but this personalized grooming kit* from Find me a Gift is one of the best I’ve seen.

The bag that it comes in is personalized with the recipient’s name so I chose my lovely boyfriend as he has a pretty substantial beard, the good thing about the bag is that it’s a really good size – perfect for using as a travel wash bag – but it’s also a decent thickness material. Inside you get a beard shampoo, a beard conditioner and face moisturizer and some beard oil as just like any other hair it needs to be cleaned and maintained. The great thing about the shampoo and conditioner is just how generous the sizes are. Unlike a lot of sets where they’re more like travel options, these are really decent 300ml bottles.

Xmas Personalised Skincare

Better Skin Cleansing Travel Set – £22.50

You might be wondering why a skincare kit appears in a personalized gift guide but this set is personalized to your exact skin type. The wonderful team at The Better Wellbeing System create bespoke skincare dependent on your needs. The Better Skin Formula is unique and while it isn’t as quick as just picking something off the shelf you can rest assured that it’s been tailored specifically to you.

After sending off a few images of my face and answering some questions on my concerns, current skin conditions and any allergies/ health concerns a set was crafted for me and just for me. The process was so much quicker than I thought it would be as I received my kit in just under a week.

You can choose a number of different kits but I had the travel cleansing kit* which came with a 15ml cleansing base, a 15ml cleansing oil, a mini Konjac sponge and a bamboo cloth. I took the set with me to Italy so I thought it would be the perfect time to talk about how it worked. The sets contain enough for 2 weeks away so when you return your skin will be healthy and that’s exactly how mine was. I have a bit of pigmentation and redness around my cheeks and using the kit for just the 8 days I was away my skin appeared smoother and more even.

Xmas Prosecco

Things I Love About You Prosecco – £22.50

Prosecco is such a popular drink at the moment and chances are you’ll be able to find hundreds of gifts on various websites but a lot of them are quite similar, so when I stumbled across this ‘Things I love about you Prosecco’ bottle* I was so excited. I phoned my dad the second I saw it and suggested it as an idea for my mum because she is a prosecco obsessive and it was so adorable watching him come up with ideas of what to put on the bottle.

There are spaces for ten phrases of things you love about the recipient and it took a little bit of switching around to get the ordering right (as some spots have more character spaces than others) but once the order was placed it arrived just a few days later and I think it looks amazing. Something like this is both a practical gift as of course it’s prosecco but it’s also one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever seen.

Make Your Own Chocolate Bars – £25 for 3

Now there’s not much I love more than chocolate so imagine my excitement when I discovered the Grown Up Chocolate Company* where you can create your own unique chocolate bars. Normally I wouldn’t spend £25 on chocolate even 3 bars, but when they’re 100% unique and hand selected by you it’s an easy decision to make.

To begin with, you can select your chocolate bar base from milk, white or dark then you can choose three ingredients to go inside. I didn’t go too crazy but I went for a milk chocolate bar with white chocolate swirls, orange bits and caramel and wow the flavours are incredible. There are so many choices and you can even customize the wrapper surrounding the bars.

If you’re looking for a unique gift for someone with a sweet tooth then this would be the perfect gift. In the mean time keep your eyes on my social media for a glimpse at the chocolate inside.

Xmas Phone Cases

Mobile Phone Case or Laptop Skin – From £19

With so much technology around now it’s important to keep things safe, so not only is a phone case a pretty expression of you but it serves a function of protecting your phone. While a laptop skin has the same function of preventing scratches and damage which could be inflicted onto your case. They don’t have to look boring or plain though as Caseapp* offer personalized skins and cases where you can choose an image from the brand’s site or you can make a custom iPhone case or custom laptop skin.

I have a few items from Caseapp including the two phone cases above which are great quality and sturdy on my phone and just totally on trend with the marble detailing. The Macbook skin which I chose was pretty easy to apply and if you make a mistake it peels back easily without damage.

If you fancy grabbing anything for yourself or a present then here’s a 20% discount code RHIAN20
