Valentines Gift Guide | What To Buy The Man Who Has Everything

Valentines Gift Guide | What To Buy The Man Who Has Everything

Sometimes I find men really easy to buy for when some new tech has come out or they just need something, but other times it can be a nightmare. Valentines Day is that time of the year where I love to buy something special but you don’t want to go overboard like you would for Christmas or a Birthday. For us we love to go out to eat for Valentines Day and did you know that Brits believe a juice steak, a full roast dinner and a spicy curry are the top three meals most likely to lead to a night of passion?! For me it’s all about steak, and we tend to go out to a nice steakhouse but when HelloFresh did some research they found out that 35% of British men are planning to cook for their loved one this Valentine’s Day which is very cute.

Back on the gift front, as with all of the gifts below, they’re not specific to Valentines Day and they’d make the perfect birthday or anniversary presents or a just because present.

Chocolate is always a great gift even if I did scoff this Peanut butter and sea salt chocolate* (£4.50) myself *oops*. This is perfect for any peanut butter lovers as it’s crispy and creamy but because it’s made from just ground peanuts it isn’t too sickly. The sea salt balances the sweetness and adds a nice roasted tone to the chocolate without overpowering the main taste.

If you’re looking for a small beauty based gift then the Bandito No More Mud Mask* (£3.99) from Masquebar is a great option. I know that sheet and face masks are generally unisex it’s always nice to see something aimed specifically at men. The mask is designed to purify the complexion, calm irritation which may be caused by shaving and banish blemishes so it’s perfect for the man who loves to be pampered.

Dobell Shirt

Clothing is always a good shout for Valentines Day so why not something to wear when you head out for a nice meal like this Burgandy Muscle Fit Shirt* (£34.99). The shirt is a slim fit which I always feel looks more flattering in a shirt, and there’s a whole host of colours on offer if Burgandy isn’t your man’s shade. Considering my boyfriend is pretty tall it’s also got a good length to it so shouldn’t ride up if he’s on the taller side.

If you’re not sure about a shirt how about a Tie* (£6.99). I opted for a lovely purple colour which would look lovely against both a white or black shirt, but again DoBell offers a whole host of different colours which will suit any outfit.

Valentines Mens Set

Moving back to a few more pampering gifts, men-ü offers a whole range of items specifically designed and formulated for men. The Shave Facial Trio* (£29.95) features three full-sized bottles to cover your full daily routine including Shave Creme, Facial Wash and a Moisturiser. Each bottle is designed to last between 165 and 265 washes so they’re really good value for money when you think how long these should last. Give someone the gift of a great shave with this set.

Next up there is the Selection Box Grooming Essentials* (£24.95) which includes eight products from the range so it’s a great introduction to the men-ü range for a full shave and facial routine. There’s a large bottle of the Black Pepper and Bergamot Shower Gel which smells amazing alongside 15ml bottles of Liquidfflex, Shave Creme, Facial Wash, Matt ‘Skin Refresh’ Gel, Facial Moisturiser Lift, Matt Moisturiser and a 3-minute D-tox. Not only does this selection give someone a chance to try out the range but they’re perfectly sized for travelling. There’s so many travel sized facial products for women but no where near as many for men so I love that about this set.

Valentines Aftershave

Aftershave is always a good option for guys, but you don’t need to splash out a lot of money on a good scent. Gold Aftershave Splash* is just £8.95 from Amazon and is the perfect day to day fragrance with a fresh hint of lemon and lavender mixed with warmer notes of nutmeg and clove. Having originally launched back in 1976 as a masculine fragrance it was relaunched in 1997 in the style which still sells to this day.

At the beginning of the year, me and my boyfriend started the 1p challenge (although I’m doing a lot better than him) so a money box seemed like a great idea for a present and when it’s as cool as the Game Boy Tin Money Box* you can’t go wrong. The tin has the normal money slot at the top but to open it you just pull it out like any other tin as opposed to there being a slot at the bottom which I actually think makes it a lot easier to get the money out of. Anything with the old school tech vibe is so on trend now with loads of places selling the original game boys so this would make a great gift.

Everyone needs a pack of cards and when they’re Batman Cards* they instantly seem a bit cooler. I love that these are in a secure black tin meaning there’s no cardboard to bend like with a normal pack of cards and I always know where to find them. Until I got these through I didn’t realise I actually didn’t own a pack of cards so these are going to be perfect.

You can’t go wrong with a mug and a pair of socks can you? Especially when they’re as cute as this Grumpy Set*.

Treat Box for sweets

If your other half has a bit of a sweet tooth then you can’t go wrong with a sweetie box, and how about the gift that keeps giving with a sweet subscription box?! Treats* allow you to choose how often you recieve your box (weekly or fortnightly) an each time your box comes through you’ll get four individually wrapped treats. The great thing about this is it means each sweet stays fresh and sealed until you decide to treat yourself. Much like subsription boxes like Graze you can rate your sweets so over time you’ll get more of the one’s you like and none of the one’s you don’t.

Valentines Zippo Wallet

I don’t know about you guys but I had no idea that Zippo did items other than lighters and smoking aids so when I found out that they did a lot of leather goods I was very impressed. This credit card wallet* (£21.50)  is perfect for the man who has a lot of cards perhaps for work or to store inside to keep everything safe and together. It stores 13 cards with one transparent section perfect for a work pass or photo ID. This mocha wallet is so uunbelievably soft but feels really sturdy as well.

Valentines Pink gin

Gin is most definitely the drink of the moment and this Passion Heart Pink Gin bottle* (£19.50) is perfect for Valentines Day in the super pretty heart shaped bottle which would look amazing out on display. You can personalise the bottle to say exactly what you want it to so you can show your love, or write a little message on the bottle which I love as I’m very into personalised gifts. If gin isn’t your drink though you can choose another filler including Blood Orange Vodka, Amaretto Disaronno, Cherry Brandy and much more.

Valentines Sushi Set

How about going for a food-based gift which you can both enjoy?! This Sushi making kit* (£13.95) contains all the components that you need to make your very own sushi at home including the rice, nori sheets, wasabi paste, pickled sushi ginger, vinegar, a rolling mat and a recipe card to help provide inspiration on what to make. For the price, this set is an absolute steal and I think it would make a great gift if your partner loves sushi and the recipe card makes it seem so simple to make *fingers crossed*

Valentines Wrapping Paper

Whatever you decide to buy the man in your life you’ll need some wrapping paper* to wrap it up in and what better than showing how much you care with personalised gift wrap. Pretty Gifted are absolutely spot on with their paper as it’s such good quality without being too thick that you can’t even get into it. With a variety of colours of paper and text I stuck to the colours I know and love with a black background and rose gold lettering which I think stands out so much but still looks classy and elegant, although the red paper with gold writing also looks like great combination.
