On Tuesday I had a little catch up with my friend at a new Turkish restaurant which has opened and the food was really good with just the perfect things I love including Halloumi and Chicken.
On Thursday I headed to my Nan’s house for a catch-up dinner and it was nice to see both her and my auntie as I don’t see them as much as I’d like. I get a lot of my post delivered there as they’re always in so it was a bit like Christmas picking up my packages.
On Friday me and my other half headed to Milton Keynes to their IFly centre to do indoor skydiving. I’d been once before – although this didn’t help my performance – and we had such a fun evening. My other half was so much better than me but it was definitely something I’d love to do again.
Saturday was the day of the Spirit of Tiki event in Regent’s Park. The weather was a bit hit and miss but the event was a lot of fun where we got to try out some rum (and gin) based cocktails and just enjoy being out in London.
For me Sunday was my indoor day which included plenty of sorting out/ cleaning, watching the first two episodes of Firefly, doing some cooking and generally chilling.
Five Great Things To Happen
I’ve had some productive meetings at work and some busy times and I know I’m going to be having my appraisal soon so this is when I want to ask for a pay rise as I am doing a lot more work since I took over my manager’s responsibilities.
I’ve managed to completely unpack from the wedding and do some general tidying up of my flat which was good.
I finally got around to sorting out my media kit and employed the help of a wonderful girl I spoke to through Twitter. I am so glad that I have this as I feel it will help me more when approaching new brand’s that I want to work with.
I ordered the artificial grass for my balcony and it’s due to arrive any day now. I will be taking some before and after shots of the work I am doing on my balcony so you’ll all be able to see how it’s changed.
I managed to clear out the massive cupboard in my hallway and I feel like the whole flat is just so much more together and organized now.
Five Things Which Sucked
Due to leaving the wedding at 1am on Monday morning I was absolutely exhausted at work on Monday and it took me a few days to get back to normal.
The exhaustion seemed to flow further down the week as I struggled to wake up early any morning so had a slightly less productive week than I would have liked.
I ordered a new light through B&Q online but the order was canceled so I went to the store to buy it as online it said there were 20+ available but they were wrapped away right at the top of a shelving unit which meant I couldn’t buy it until they’d brought them down out of hours. It’s going to mean another trip there which is a pain.
I got a heat rash on my hand over the weekend at the wedding and it still hasn’t completely gone away, it’s so annoying as I want to itch it but I know I shouldn’t.
We attempted to make KFC style chicken on Sunday and followed a recipe exactly but the chicken just wouldn’t cook through, it got so bad that we had to throw it all away which was such a waste.
Five Things To Do Next Week
Relax and have an awesome night in watching the new Game of Thrones Monday night
Treat myself to a nice lunch when I’m in London on Tuesday at a work meeting. There are few times when I managed a lunchtime in London so I want to take advantage of it
Start trying to get an idea of what I want to do in Prague when I head there in a few month’s time. I like to be prepared so I can look into it.
Pack for my weekend away in Bournemouth
Sort out the remainder of the cupboards in my kitchen and drawers in my bedroom so my flat has had a thorough clean
Sounds like a pretty good week! I have always wanted to try indoor sky diving, I think that is the only way I could get my husband to sky dive because he is scared of heights.
Love the set up of the post. The awesome, the negative, and stuff between. You’ve been pretty productive and I hope you catch up on sleep after the wedding!
Sounds like you are a busy bee, just like me. 🙂 I’m a little jealous of your travel schedule, it’s taken my husband and I over a year to do one two-hour road trip!
Wow, you’ve had a busy week! Lots of positive things too. For your heat rash, try some 1% hydrocortisone from the chemist, it works really well and clears it up fast as well as stopping the itching. You can also use the cream on bites/stings too.
I love that it was like Christmas visiting your Nan and Auntie, times like that are the best, especially with catching up too.
Loving these kinds of posts, sounds like a busy week with all those catch ups. Such a shame about the light. I find B&Q to either be great or really poor. There is no middle ground!! hope next week is good x
It sounds like you’ve had a productive week. Enjoy Bournemouth we love it there. I’d love to try indoor skydiving. I’ve heard kids can do it too. Jamie would love it.
I’m glad you mentioned media kit…I have been putting that off far too long. I have never heard of indoor skydiving either – I am pretty chicken in that area, but it sounds really cool!
Ok so I’m seriously jealous of both the Halloumi and the indoor sky diving. Sounds like you’ve managed to have. A really productive week as well despite being so tired. Kate x
I would have loved to achieve this many things – I still haven’t sorted out a media kit! It’s something on my to do list but I’ve still never been asked for one. I guess it would be useful for approaching brands though!
It sounds like a good week! Halloumi is my favourite, I have a block in the fridge calling my name. My week has seen me spending a lot of time outside and cooking!

Oh yes, a media kit is SUPER important for us bloggers! Glad you have one ready now! You’ll use it all the time!
That reminds me I need to do my kitchen as well. it has been a while and I am sure there is stuff that needs to be put back in order.
Sounds like a pretty good week! I have always wanted to try indoor sky diving, I think that is the only way I could get my husband to sky dive because he is scared of heights.
Sounds like you had a good week! Catch up with friends is always so refreshing and much needed especially with our busy lifestyle!

Sounds like a really fun, busy week! It’s awesome you look ahead to see what’s coming up too.
Love reading about your weekly diary. Yes, there will never be a week when everything goes fine and nothing sucks. Great read.
Sounds like you are a busy bee, just like me. 🙂 I’m a little jealous of your travel schedule, it’s taken my husband and I over a year to do one two-hour road trip!
I can’t wait to watch Games of Thrones as well. And those straws are just the cutest things ever. Hope you have a great week ahead
You’ve been busy! Indoor skydiving scares me but I hope you had fun. Enjoy GoT – it’s great!

How was indoor skydiving? I’d love to try that. xxx
Indoor skydiving sounds so fun! I’m not brave enough to try real skydiving, so this would be a great alternative.
Looking forward to seeing your artificial grass 🙂

The Turkish meal sounds lovely – I really like that sort of food. Good luck with your appraisal.
Good luck with your work appraisal I’m sure you will be grand. I’m not unpacked from our holidays yet lol x
You are always on the go with fun adventures. Hope your week goes better and you are able to get some rest!

You have been very productive! Indoor skydiving is something I could go for!!!!
I would have loved to achieve this many things – I still haven’t sorted out a media kit! It’s something on my to do list but I’ve still never been asked for one. I guess it would be useful for approaching brands though!
A way more productive week than mine. I have cut back some things in the garden and made chutney, but not much else!
It sounds like a good week! Halloumi is my favourite, I have a block in the fridge calling my name. My week has seen me spending a lot of time outside and cooking!
You have such a busy life! I wanted artificial grass for our garden but cant afford it yet, hopefully one day x
Is there a video of the indoor skydiving?! I’d be too scared! Try some aloe gel on the heat rash maybe? Nice roundup.
Mostly positive then! We love the first episode of GoT, bit grumpy about having to wait between episodes…
I’m still to watch the new episode of GoT, my little one has been poorly so no chance of sitting down and watching it
thank you so much for doing this post, reminded me to work on my media kit!
