On Tuesday me and Luke had a nice TGI Friday’s dinner and then headed to the cinema to see Deadpool 2 which I absolutely loved. For anyone who enjoyed the first movie, you’ll love the second movie too.
On Wednesday it was my Auntie’s birthday so we went out for a family meal and it was really nice to see everyone and have a bit of a catch-up.
On Friday I worked a late shift at work until midnight and it was super exciting as we just launched some new software and I got to help with floor support.
On Saturday I headed into Oxford to have a catch up with my friend Amy and it was a lovely afternoon made even better by the sunshine. We had brunch, sat in the sunshine, ate ice cream and just caught up.
On Sunday evening I headed into London with a few of my pals and we did a boat ride around the canals with Go Boat and it was such fun.
Five Great Things To Happen
I’ve managed to keep on top of my blog post organisation which I am so happy about as I’ve felt a little behind the past month or so since starting my new job.
I booked Rize Festival tickets for me and Luke to go on Saturday and see Bastille, Stereophonics, Years & Years, Rag and Bone Man and more. I’m so excited as it’s such a good day line up.
I got my Slam dunk pass for Leeds confirmed and now the line-up has gone out I’ve planned my whole weekend of festivities.
I bought the most beautiful plant pot from H&M Home and I can’t wait to find something to go in it.
I’ve managed to do a bit more tidying up so the flat is slowly starting to look more like home and less like a building site. This has included combining all of mine and Luke’s comic books onto the bookshelf so we can see what we have.
Five Things Which Sucked
Due to when I moved jobs and payments I found out I’m not going to be getting a P60 this year which makes submitting my taxes for the year quite tricky so I am hoping that I have enough information on my P45 or my last payslip for this.
I have caught one of my nails really low down and it’s split so it’s a bit painful but it’s too low to cut down.
Originally we headed to Slough station on Saturday for me to go to Oxford and it was manic due to the Royal Wedding so we had to drive to Maidenhead so I could make my way in.
I’ve not had a chance to sort out my nails and they look like an absolute state.
We’ve not had a chance to get some wood for our shelves so there are a few boxes we just can’t unpack yet because of that.
Five Things To Do This Week
Submit my taxes now I’ve found my final pay slip from my old job.
Book tickets to the Gin and Champagne festival in Watford which is happening in July.
Start planning my Slam Dunk coverage so I have a proper plan of action for the day.
Be productive on my day off on Friday with a mixture of self-care pampering alongside cleaning, tidying and blog work.
Oh I never even thought about looking for plants in H&M home. I love their clothes so will have to check out their interiors. Ouch to the nail, I hate it when I do that. I usually buy clear nail varnish to kind of glue over the top of it until it grows longer. Hope you can fix it.
Sounds like you’ve had a pretty busy week and it’s nice to know that you’re slowly unpacking and that the house looks more like a home! It takes a little time to get everything together but it’s definitely worth it!
You’ve just reminded me that I’ve not been to TGI Friday’s for a meal in ages! I think I might have to take the kids over half term as the food there is lovely, isn’t it? I love their Jack Daniels glaze. Yum!!
What a great mix of seeing friends and family throughout the week, I especially love visiting friends in other cities when the weather is so nice (of course it’s back to rain for us now!).

The rize festival sounds fab and wish i lived closer to go to the gin and champagne fest too, that would be right up my street

OK you have an amazing comic book collection! Ash bags his up and puts them in a storage box – they are not for touching or reading haha!
Oh I love TGI Fridays, it’s my favourite place to eat actually! Sounds like you’ve had a good week, I need new plant pots too!
Ahhhh I need to watch Deadpool 2! So excoted for it! Nice shelf organisation there!
Great post. That bookshelf is so organized. and that Rize Festival sounds really fun.
I love Oxford and I’m hoping we get to go back this summer for a day trip. It’s so nice in the sun.
Chilling in Oxford with ice cream sounds fab. Not been to Oxford before, but would love to go x
As ever, such a mega-organised person. Do you keep your lists in a planner or on the wall as well as on the blog?
