*This is a collaborative post on personalised gift ideas for Mother’s Day

Anyone who takes on a motherly role deserves to be celebrated. Whether that’s a mum, step-mum, auntie, godmother, or anyone else. The people who help raise and shape you as a person, and the people who are there for you with unconditional love are incredibly important.  And Mother’s Day is the perfect day to show your love.

I’m a huge fan of personalised gift ideas as they show true thought in them. You can treat that special person with a special gift. That’s why I’m so excited to have partnered with Boots to help prepare for the special day. In the past I’ve talked a lot about personalised gifts that require more than a quick ‘buy now’. And photo gifts especially can help capture a special moment and make the feeling last for a lifetime.

The mother figures in my life

I have a very close knit family so alongside my parents I also have my nan and my auntie who I love to celebrate when it comes to Mother’s Day. Me and my brother spent a lot of time with my nan when we were growing up as she’s always been closely involved with the family. And my auntie never had kids of her own but she loved us both like we were her own. So alongside celebrating my mum herself I always get a card and a present for both of them as well.

Personalised gift ideas filled with memories

Last year it was my brothers wedding so there is a bit of a theme with some of the gifts using a family photo we had on the day. And I got it in two different forms, in a 200 piece jigsaw form for my auntie, and as a photo case for my nan. My auntie loves a good jigsaw puzzle and as soon as I saw this was option I knew I had to go for it. You can get them ranging from 200 pieces right up to 2000 pieces. So not only is it personalised with a lovely surprise at the end, but they get to make it themselves.

As part of my mum’s present I picked up a fill your own gift box* (£14.99) which fill and seal yourself with anything special. You could put a voucher or experience gift in there, or you could put some jewellery. But having a personalised box is such a great way to give the gift. I opted for a photo of my mum with me and my brother on it as it’s her and both of her kids together. And I know the photo will mean a lot to my mum.

One thing my mum always says is about not having enough photos of us as adults. My parents took loads of photos when we were kids, but in this era people don’t print photos as much. When they live on Instagram, Facebook and our mobile phones and rarely in physical form. I am the opposite though and love to print physical photos, and that’s why I got this one of me and Luke from a friends wedding printed off for my mum. It is very easy to create photo books these days with the help of online tools.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words and I think that’s so true. And photo gifts can be as simple as a photo book or large print, or they can include a phone case, mug, calendar, cushion, and so much more. Regardless of which special motherly figure you’re buying for you can make her feel special.

I love receiving personalised gifts, last year I received a canvas print of my granddaughters. They have so much more meaning than just buying something. I like to mix it up I usually do a hamper for my Mum with something personalised and then all her creams etc she loves

Eeeep it’s just around the corner isn’t it?! Where is 2022 going?! Thanks for sharing, I’d been contemplating some kind of photo gift and these are some lovely ideas. My mum is a huge jigsaw fan (she got me into them too by buying me some in lockdown!) I might just have to look into that idea a bit further. I’ve done photo book gifts before, they always go down well I think 🙂

This years has gone by so fast. It’s almost mother’s day but it feels like we just had Christmas. The personalised puzzles are such a lovely idea. I’ve not gifted those before.

That puzzle is a really cool idea. Fortunately our Mothers Day is only in May so I still have some time 🙂

Personalized gifts are the most endearing. I still print photos, but no one else in the family does. I worry because they fill their devices up and then delete them when they are full. They have nothing that will last long-term (and I don’t have faith that social media will preserve them like they think).

I love personalised gifts as I feel they mean a lot more to people. My mum also loves jigsaws and the harder the better so a 2,000 piece one of our favourite family photo would be perfect for her.
