*This is a collaborative post about things to do in London on a night out
London is a great destination when planning a night out. With a quick google, you’ll find a whole range of things to see and do that will keep you entertained for hours. If you are looking to be entertained, a trip to a comedy club could be on the cards, or for those who enjoy card games, you could try one of London’s casinos. There are so many pubs in London that a pub crawl should be considered and so should a trip to one of London’s activity venues like Bounce, Flight club or the ShuffleBoard Club.
To help with organising a night out, below we have put together five suggestions.
In the heart of the city, features The Top Secret Comedy Club, The Covent Garden Comedy Club, Seven Dials Comedy Club and much more. These comedy clubs have regular shows throughout the week, each with different performers who will all have you laughing like never before. Whether you start your night out with a trip to a comedy club or end your evening with one, you are bound to have a great time. Tickets are affordable but make sure you plan in advance as some of the shows book out quickly, so you don’t want to miss out. Covent Garden has plenty of restaurants and bars for you to enjoy dinner and a drink (or two).
Enrol yourself in a poker tournament or test your luck at a game of roulette, blackjack or baccarat. With a great variety of casinos within the city, London makes for a great casino night out. Visit any time throughout the year and enjoy a meal at the casino before or after as well as a few drinks at the bar. If you are not much of a cards player but would like to give it a go beforehand, try your luck at playing live roulette online. By playing online you can go through their tutorial section, learning all the rules ready for your night out in London.
For a boozy night out, head to the pubs of London and attempt a pub crawl. Start in a major area, then slowly make your way back to the train station or the hotel that you are staying at. Introduce some drinking rules which you must follow throughout the crawl to make it interesting and see how many pubs you can visit before you feel like you have drunk enough. Our advice would be to make sure you eat something beforehand as a lot of alcohol can be consumed on a pub crawl. You’ll produce some wonderful memories, create some great stories and get some brilliant photos along the way.
Dotted around London, you’ll find many fun bars with great activities for you to try out. In London Victoria and other areas of London, you have Flight Club, an interactive darts bar. In Shoreditch, you can visit Bounce, an interactive table tennis bar and in London Bridge and Canary Wharf, you have a Shuffleboard club. For the football fans out there, Toca Social in Greenwich Peninsula has recently opened, offering an interactive penalty shootout experience. On top of this, there are some great bowling alleys and karaoke bars. With so much to try out, you’ll have months of activities to enjoy.
London is not short of rooftop bars for you to enjoy a cocktail in. Find some of the hidden gems in London and take in the stunning panoramic views of the city. Make sure you book in advance as some of the cocktail bars get booked up quickly as they are a popular venue. Rooftop bars for you to visit should include, Queen of Hoxton, Aviary, Upper 5th Shoreditch, Boundary Rooftop Bar, Shoreditch House and much more. For the tallest views of London, the Skygarden or the bars within The Shard should not be missed.
There are so many things for you to do in London that you will never have the time to do them all. Some of the above activities can get very popular so make sure you book in advance to not miss out. Make the most of your time and book one or two activities for the same day or even try one during the day instead of the evening. During the week you may find that discounts are offered to entice you in.
