Best MLB Cities to Travel To

If you have been following along with the latest sports news then you would know that the 2022 MLB season is underway. It didn’t always look like there would be baseball this season, but things finally got straightened out after a long labor dispute. 

This article isn’t about baseball though, although looking at cities that have an MLB team will provide the basis of this discussion. MLB has chosen some terrific cities to host MLB teams, and those cities provide some great travel opportunities. 

You don’t have to watch baseball at all to visit these cities, but here are six of the top U.S. cities to visit this summer. These cities are not ranked, but rather are in alphabetical order. 

Chicago, Illinois

Chicago, Illinois is one of the biggest cities in the World, and you can only imagine how many amazing tourist attractions are located in the Windy City. Most travel experts believe that Chicago is one of the best cities in the U.S. to visit in the Summer as you can simply walk around and never run out of things to do. 

Taking a walk down Michigan Avenue is an absolute must when visiting the Windy City in the Summer, and there are some great parks in the city as well. This is actually a city in which you will want to at least travel to the ballpark as Wrigley Field and the surrounding Wrigleyville is a great tourist destination. 

Denver, Colorado

Denver, Colorado usually draws millions of visitors each year that want to ski, but that is not the only reason to visit the city. Catching a glimpse of the great Rocky Mountains is a sight to behold, and it’s even better when you don’t have to freeze to do so.

Animal lovers will love the Denver Zoo and the aquarium that is downtown, but this is also a city that has some terrific museums as well. Denver is also a city with some laws that are extremely progressive, and it can provide an experience not found elsewhere. 

Los Angeles, California

Getting around Los Angeles, California is not fun, but that shouldn’t take away from visiting one of the best cities in the United States. The weather in LA is nearly perfect year-round, and enjoying the warmth and sunshine will automatically make this a great experience. 

The Santa Monica Pier is one of the top tourist attractions in Los Angeles and it’s best to do something outdoors when visiting this city. There are also plenty of popular beaches to visit in the city, and you won’t run into a ton of travel trouble when relaxing on the beach.

Miami, Florida

Miami is a city that doesn’t really need any explanation as to why it should be one of your top travel destinations. Going to Miami in the Summer isn’t always the best option, but this could provide you with a nice escape during the colder months.

Of course the beaches in Miami are the top draw in the city, but this is also a city that has a terrific culture. The nightlife in Miami is among the best in the United States, and the weather will be nice enough to stroll around without needing a jacket. 

Seattle, Washington

There are some issues when trying to visit Seattle, Washington as the weather is a concern at times. If you plan your trip right though, you will experience a terrific climate in a city that has plenty to do. 

Seattle is a city that doesn’t always get a lot of attention when discussing the top tourist attractions, but there are several in the city. The Space Needle is usually at the top of the list, but the Museum of Flight is another attraction that you should check out. 

Tampa, Florida

Tampa, Florida might not have the same recognition as Miami, but it is still a city that is worth visiting at some point. Of course visiting the Bay will provide you with a nice experience for a day, but there are plenty of other things to do as well.

Busch Gardens should be at the top of your list of attractions in Tampa, and there are other theme parks to visit as well. Taking a stroll on the Tampa Riverwalk will unlock a long list of opportunities and also provides beautiful scenery.
