Mid Point Of The Year, Check In On 2026 Goals

As if we’re half way through 2026 already, it’s wild.

I remember writing my 2026 goals so vividly and now I’m reflecting on them as six months has past. So much has changed for me in the past six months. I’m offically back to work after maternity leave, and I have a one year old.

I could reminisce for ages, but how am I getting on with our goals for the years?!

Home goals for 2026

I had six core home related goals that I wanted to achieve in 2026, so let’s see how we’ve got on with them.

Money goals for 2026

I had five core financial goals so let’s see how we’re getting on with them.

Reading goals for 2026

I had a bit of a mixture of reading goals, but let’s take a look at them.

Stack of six books

Fitness and other goals for 2026

I wanted to get back into working out, aiming at eight active days a month. And while I have been walking more I’ve not been doing classes. I am hoping the routine of being back at work will help me with this.

In terms of weight loss a few weeks ago I began my new regime and I’m making good progress. So I’m pretty confident I can hit the two stone mark by the end of the year.

As I started project pan I wanted to use up at least 75 things from my stash. Currently I’ve hit 50 which I’m very happy with. So I think I should hit my goal number pretty easily by the end of the year.

I wanted to get my lego botanicals all built and I’ve done a fair few over the last few months. Currently I have one single botanicals left. Although I do though have five other immediate sets I’d like to build so if I can also get those done by the end of the year I’d be so happy.

Then my final goal was to see Cabaret when Matt Willis was playing the MC and I managed to tick this off pretty quickly. I think it was his second or third performance, and he was incredible. The show was amazing and I’m so glad I got to experience it.

How are you getting on with your 2026 goals?

We did our mid-year check-in last week and were happy that most of the items on our to-do list were achieved. We still have a few tasks that need to be done but we’re on track to achieve them all.

It sounds like you’re doing really well overall. I wish I could say I had come as far on my goals. LOL

Going through mid year goals is always a funny mix of pride and mild panic! Fixing up the garden first brings so much peace.

Reading these amazes me, they’re all so hard to do. But I learned so many things from this blog post.

You have done so much. That’s great! We have some time off so are tackling our DIY list and I am putting money into a savings account every month!

You have done so good with your money goals and are only halfway through the year! This is such a fun reflection post – I need to set and achieve more goals, I fear.

It helps me feel better when I think I’ve not achieved much, and it can be the kick I need haha x
