Hands up my dad is the trickiest person to buy for and is always the person I struggle with at Christmas and birthdays. I like to spoil my mum on Mothers Day so like to do the same for my dad on Fathers Day but it can be hard. I’ve spent a fair amount of time trawling the internet to come up with a few ideas.
An Experience Day
For the last few Birthdays/ Fathers Days I’ve bought my dad experience days including shooting and archery so when I came across Buyagift I had a lot of inspiration. They offer so many experiences’ there’s bound to be something for everyone from Race Car driving and Go Ape to Champagne Afternoon Tea and Camping Experiences. If you’re not 100% sure what your dad might like the SmartBox is a great option as it allows him to choose from over 1,000 different experience choices.
Taste Whisky Cocktail Set
Last month I was lucky enough to receive a Mojito cocktail making kit which was so much fun to use that I thought a Whisky version for my dad would be right up his street. My dad loves Whisky, like complete obsession, so much so that my duty free purchases are almost always Whisky for him! I still haven’t decided which Whisky based cocktail kit to get him, I’ve never heard of Blood & Sand so I am tempted to opt for this as it’s a bit different but we will see.
Star Wars Mug
Now my dad isn’t a complete Star Wars nerd but as soon as I saw this cute little mug I knew I had to get it. With a little picture of Darth Vader it says ‘I’m glad you’re my father’ on it and it’s just adorable. It was actually Sarah over at Lifeinthebreakdown who alerted me to this mug on a post of hers and it didn’t take long before it was bought. To go alongside this I thought I might as well buy the new Star Wars DVD which my dad hasn’t seen to complete the set.
