Music I’m Loving At The Moment

I realised the other day that I’ve done playlists about nostaligic music and stuff which pumps we up at the gym but not a lot about the current music which I am loving. Anyone who reads my blog (or even glances over) will probably guess that I like music on the heavier end of the spectrum but I am partial to other types of music. Despite being a music editor and getting through tonnes of music I don’t actually listen to a huge amount of new music very much but I’ve been going back to things I love or preparing for shows I know I have coming up.

Knowing that Red Hot Chili Peppers are playing London in December (and watching a hilarious carpool karaoke clip with them) has made me re-listen to a lot of Chili Pepper tracks like ‘Under the Bridge’ and ‘Californication’, and seeing as Halloween is coming up I have been re-listening to The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack – of course. Another thing which has swayed my music at the moment is the discovery of some old CD’s which I have moved to my car to work through, most of them are unmarked and are generally around ten years old so there are some absolute corkers in there. It’s made me realise how great the first Arctic Monkeys album is, although I can not sing along without adopting a fake Northern accent – is it just me who does this?!

Not a fan of the Arctic Monkeys.. Not my style of music. I’ve been listening to a lot of Meat Loaf as I adore his music and they make me feel good.
