I am a huge fan of beauty boxes as generally they’re such good value for money and it’s a chance to try out a lot of products in one go. I used to subscribe to a number of boxes but I got to the point where I was bored of the products and ended up with a lot of products that I just wasn’t excited or bothered about. This is why I love the boxes by Latest In Beauty as you can see exactly what’s in them before buying.
Now I know for a lot of people this defeats the whole purpose of a beauty box but if I’m going to spend money on something I want to know there is worth in it. The Icons 10 Year Anniversary Edition Box* marks 10 years of Latest In Beauty making amazing products available to addicts across the UK and the box is full of hand-picked beauty heroes. The box itself can be bought for £50 but it’s worth a whopping £238 and I have to say there are some really exciting products in the box.
First up are two masks from Starskin, one is the Master Cleanser Detoxing Sea Kelp Mask and the other is the Dreamkiss™ – Plumping and Hydrating Bio-Cellulose Lip Mask. Now I am a huge sheet mask fan so these were are right up my street, I just find sheet masks a lot easier and smoother to use on a regular basis than a liquid or cream mask that you need to wash off. The Master Cleanser Mask is the ultimate detox for your skin and the seabase base is really moisturising and full of anti-ageing serum which is something I am pushing to add more of into my routine.
Lip masks might seem pointless to some people but at this time of the year when it’s getting very cold they’re so useful. The Dreamkiss mask is not only drenched in product so it’s super nourishing but it is great for making your lips plumper.
Next up was a set of 6 Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Bets Universal Peels which I’ve seen so many great reviews of online. I’m usually a little worried about using peels but the iconic Alpha Beta Universal Peels aren’t overly intense so they are a pretty good beginner product if you’re not overly familiar or experienced with peels. There are two steps in the peel with nourished, exfoliated skin being the outcome. I love the size of these as they’re great to take with you on a weekend away or a holiday.
I love getting illuminating moisturisers as my skin lacks that all over glow so they work really well and Omorovicza is a brand which Latest In Beauty love so it must be good. It’s a light-diffusing cream which feels so luxurious on the skin and doesn’t make my skin feel greasy at all. It’s designed to dimish pores, blur wrinkles and deeply nourish your skin so all those good things in one little pot.
Considering the luxury of the brand the 30ml sample is still pretty generous and with so many full sized items it balances well.
I’d never heard of Eve Lom so I was intrigued to get the Cleanser and Muslim Cloth in the box as it’s a multi-award winning cleanser. It’s a smooth silky balm texture which just melts into the skin from the second it comes out of the tub and it’s so gentle that you can use it under your eyes which I really appreciate as I have a feel heavier duty cleansers which aren’t practical to do this with.
Of course one of the most iconic nail brands is OPI so it wouldn’t be a box without them and the corally pink shade inside is called ‘Got Myself Into A Jam- Balaya’ which is so pretty, although not quite as Autumnal as I’d have liked considering when this box came out. I am pretty bad with painting my own nails but using OPI polishes they usually come out pretty good as the brush is slimline so I make less mess when applying it
Next up was a small sample of the Paula’s Choice Clinical 1% Retinol Treatment which I can’t wait to try as I am trying to infuse a little retinol into my routine as it’s good for your complexion and to shed old skin cells making room for new healthier ones. This one in particular is designed to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and promote an even-toned complexion.
Then it’s time for some makeup items including the BlinkBrowBar Intense Kajal Eyeliner in either black or brown. I got the brown which is actually really good for me as it’s a colour I lack in the eyeliner department. It is a really creamy velvet like formula which is so easy to apply both on the lids and under the eyes, and it comes with a smudger on one end to help you go for a soft look. I’m still playing around with this kind of look as I always end up looking like I’ve been pushed in the face, but I’m getting there.
For the lips there’s a Rodial XXL Lip Liner in Nude which is pretty much the most versatile product you can find out. The liner is really creamy so you don’t need to drag it along your lips and you can wear it under lipstick or if you’re like me alone as it’s staying power is really good.
The final item in the box is a dulux sample of the Samashbox Original Photo Finish Smooth & Blur Primer. I’ve used a few Smashbox primers already but strangely enough never this one but one thing I love about it is that it’s a transparent primer gel as opposed to being coloured or white and creamy. The gel is really good on those rare days when my skin doesn’t feel so dry that it needs a really creamy primer. I could not be without primer so this is a great addition to the box.

Though I just use Lakme or Maybelline these really look good. Especially if I get it, ot would only be because of its blogging….
I mean packaging..
oooo I love the look of the sheet masks! And the smashbox photo finish would have gone down well with me too! Great post 🙂
I suffer from chapped lips so the lip mask sounds inviting to me and would love to try!The OPI nail paint does look quite summery!
Keep thinking about trying this Smashbox photo finish! I’ve heard it’s very good.
This looks like a fantastic box and definitely value for money – some fab sounding products in there.
Wow, that looks like a nice products to try and I would love to this sheet mask for myself. I will also share this with my sister and I am sure she would love to try these products also,

I’ve never known if primers actually do the job they’re supposed to do. It just feels like another layer. But will give this one a try.
Everything in and out the box screams beautiful! I love the box design. I have to say my favorite product has to be the nail polish, just love that color.
My ex-girlfriend would have loved a box like this. It had so many different elements to it. I’m just not ready to get something for my daughter like that yet.
Can I admit if never bought a beauty box? But I’m seriously tempted by this one!
I really like boxes like this as it gives me chance to find new products and brands. It looks like a good variety and selection in here.
I do love a good beauty box means you can try items without buying the full size. This one is packed full of some of my favs. Btw the Evelom is a fabulous cleanser I use a fee bits from their range.
Sounds like you really get your moneys worth with this one! I always worry that I will splash out and not get the type of things I know how to use, haha! I didn’t know lip masks existed, but it sounds like something I could REALLY do with this winter.
I feel so uneducated never heard of a lip mask before reading this post but now I think I need one lol. Great post x
