With March being firmly over and an hour of our sleep lost it seems like Spring is finally emerging which makes me very happy as there’s nothing fun about the dark dreary nights of Winter. Looking back over the month I’ve been up to quite a lot in my first full month out of my flat.
I am pretty sure that the first half of the month just involved me going and eating out with nine meals out by 13th March including a family celebration on St Davids Day, a catch up meal with some friends at Mildred’s veggie/ vegan restaurant and the new O’Neill’s Pub in Watford on 6th (O’Neills Pub review here).
I had a bit of disappointment at the start of the month with the new Moz scores as I dropped a whopping 10 points after spending the past 12-18 months working my socks off. Even though numbers don’t mean everything I have seen a hit on paid work which is so disappointing, but I am going to do everything I can to boost things back up.
I headed to my very first Glamour Beauty event on 10th which I was sceptical about going to as I would be running solo but it was so much fun. I spent 3 or so hours wandering around sampling some great treatments including a glitter braid, an oxygen blast and a lip scrub. I’d been meaning to go for years and I’m glad I didn’t put it off any longer, plus the goodie bag was something special.
Luke’s 30th birthday rolled around on 12th March so we had plenty of celebrations including a surprise gathering I arranged with some of his friends which was really nice fun of board games, Dr Marvel and Meat and Shake. We had birthday nights with both his parents and mine before we headed to Gatwick Airport on 14th March ahead of our St Lucia trip.
The day before we headed to the airport I took part in a charity give a day away through my work and I headed to the Kentish Town Farm to help out on site. I did end up spending an hour or two shovelling poo which was such a good work out, but then I got to groom some goats so it made up for it. I had a great day at the farm finding out more about the animals and helping out a great cause.
Now our holiday took up a good portion of the month from the moment we got to Gatwick to getting back home on 26th March but we had such an amazing time. I hadn’t had a relaxing sun holiday for almost a decade so it was much needed and I loved switching off and getting my tan on.
You can expect plenty of posts coming up about my trip so keep your eyes peeled.
After a few days off to recover when I got home it was back to normal craziness with a fashion and beauty event at the Intu Watford on 28th which was so much fun. Then I went to see The Lounge Kittens on Friday night which was a really great evening. We were meant to see The Zutons on Saturday evening but we were pretty knackered after a long week at work that we didn’t want to push ourselves.
One thing I have been thinking about is Easter which although it’s pretty late this year has crept up on me pretty quickly. I need to think about what I want to buy Luke and my parents, and something I’ve been tempted by is getting them a Lir handcrafted chocolate egg which is so stunning and comes along with four individual chocolates. I had hoped to take my own photos and I had all these ideas but sadly my egg was split, so you’ll have to make do with the styled images above. Although this didn’t impact the taste and let me tell you it didn’t last very long. This egg is exclusive to Tesco and you can grab one for just £12!

What a great March it sounds like you had. The MOZ thing was rubbish was’t it I think it hit so many of us hard.
The give a day away scheme sounds amazing what a great thing to do!
So many people have seen good increases since it first dropped but I’m still stuck and it’s gutting x
how lovely to have a trip in March – just what is needed I think. I was so gutted about Moz scores too 🙁
I feel like March was a really busy month compared to January and February which seemed to last forever!
I’m so jealous of your trip to St Lucia, it’s one of those places I’d love to visit as it looks so beautiful!
I totally agree, March did seem a lot busier than the previous two months x
Moz took me by surprise too but I’m glad you had a nice holiday to look forward to xx
Sounds like you had a fab month and an amazing holiday!

Thanks so much! I know and that braid was what it looked like at the end of the day which is amazing x
Ahhh what a fab month and sounds like your holiday was brilliant. I hope April is just as good to you! x
Love the photos in the post! So much colour! Your March sounds packed. I am definitely going to keep the next Glamour beauty event in mind for next year.
It’s so worth it, so many great products and treatments x
So sorry to hear about your moz drop, but keep creating good content and I am sure you will be fab xx
Thanks, that’s what I’m hoping *fingers crossed* x
Wow it sounds like you had a great month! And what an amazing holiday – the scenary looks beautiful x
What an amazing March you had! Sometimes a holiday in the sun is just what’s needed
It did look like spring was emerging and then came hailstones and snow haha so very odd! I took a big dip in my DA score :/
It’s tough with the DA isn’t it because I don’t know what else I could have done other than maybe some more guest blogging x
My March was good but no where near as good as yours. I’d happily take off to St Lucia, the last time I was there was 2002. Mich x
