March Favourites And Things I’ve Been Loving

March Favs - Sond Face Cream

It feels like such a long time since I did a favourite post because March didn’t seem to go too quickly for me what with finishing unpacking and the move, then our holiday. We’re slowly getting into some sort of a routine with our new home at my parents, but there are still some bits we need to find homes for which is proving a little tricky. Here are some of the things I was loving in March.

SOND Day Cream

With a much better set up of my skincare I’ve been able to try out a lot more of my items and one thing that I used a lot of in March including during our holiday was the SOND Sidekick Day Cream*. This cream is particularly good for those with sensitive skin which is why I took it away as I knew I’d catch the sun. This cream was really good when I burnt my nose and had skin that was more sensitive than normal as some of my other creams tingled my skin a little.

The cream has Shea Butter in it alongside other things so I could really feel the hydrating aspect of it which my skin is always craving.

Lancôme – ‘Monsieur Big’ waterproof mascara

I’ve had the Lancôme – ‘Monsieur Big’ mascara in its non-waterproof state but when I was at Gatwick airport I realised I didn’t have a waterproof mascara so I picked this up as I had heard Anna Newton always goes on about it and I trust her recommendations. Not only is the mascara volumizing which also holds a curl it’s such a good waterproof mascara.

When we were in the pool on holiday there were waterfalls and lots of areas where my whole head was underwater and this mascara held on tight for the whole tight. I never had any smudging or fall out which I was so impressed by so this is definitely going to be my go-to anytime I’m going to be close to water like at theme parks or the spa.

SNAG tights

A recent survey revealed that UK women spend an average of £3,000 on tights in their lifetime and while I don’t wear tights all the time I rarely wear them more than once or twice before I destroy them. I have always struggled to find tights that fit me as the widths and waist sizes never seen to be big enough and even when I got for an XL or the largest option rarely they’re quite big enough to feel comfortable. This is where Snag come in who create tights to cater for all different shapes and sizes including people who may be petite or plus-sized with sizes ranging from size 4 to 28+.

I had three sets of the 80 denier tights* with a traditional black, a beautiful slate grey colour and burgundy pair and they cover all scenarios for the colours I’d want. When you choose your size you work off a table looking at height, clothing size and your shape to choose a number that shows you which size tights to order. I love how many aspects they take into consideration when choosing a size which means my pairs are really comfortable and come up high enough to cover my stomach which a lot of other tights don’t.

Vonhaus three drawer bathroom unit

Three Drawer White Bathroom Storage Unit

This three-drawer storage unit* from VonHaus arrived before we went on holiday and it was one of the first things that I got Luke to do when we got back. Standing at 81cm high it worked perfectly for the space we had in our en-suite under our mirrored cabinet and as it’s not too wide it is a great fit for most spots. The three drawers are really roomy and provide so much extra storage for my skincare meaning I can have absolutely everything in easy access when I’m doing my skincare routine as opposed to having some in the bathroom and some in the bedroom. As we have limited space anything like this which gives us more storage is a godsend.

At just £37.99 it’s not going to break the bank but it’s still really good quality, made from sturdy MDF with a white paint finish which is water-resistant so you don’t need to worry about it getting damaged in the bathroom. When we move into our house I’d love to have these in various locations to keep towels, cleaning products and skincare in.

I can’t believe people spend that much on tights! I find it hard to find one which fit too.

I like the sound of Snag tights. I tend to get mine from Primark but they never last more than a few wears. I should really invest in a few good-quality pairs!

The SNAG tights sound like the type of tights I need, I am tall and always struggle with tights that fit nicely.

Yeah it’s always hard as most tights just go Small- X Large but that doesn’t cater for specific sizes or heights x

I’ll admit that I want those tights most of all! I have trouble finding ones that fit my size and don’t ladder easily so these SNAG ones sound amazing!
