*I was invited along to the TK MAXX store and given a gift card to spend while I was there. But all thoughts, opinions (and occasional gushing statements) are all my own
TK MAXX has always been a store I’ve been drawn to, a one-stop-shop and somewhere I can lose myself for hours in. Clothes, shoes, accessories, beauty, and most importantly for me homeware. Even when I still lived at home during university I did everything I could to make my space my own. And then when I got my own place homeware took on even bigger importance.
As we’re going to be moving into a house next year *fingers crossed* I always find myself looking for items. Even though I don’t know the layout of what the house may look like. And I don’t know what colour schemes we may have (which does limit my purchasing) I’m still drawn to buy things. Our storage unit is now slowly filling up with things I’ve bought for a house I don’t yet own.
And that’s where the TK MAXX family comes in. We have a pretty sizeable store in my hometown of Watford, but I was invited along to check out the relatively new store which has opened up on Oxford Street. The branch opened up around July so it’s still pretty new. And as I hadn’t hit up Oxford Street for a while I’d not seen it in its full glory before.
Just a minute from Oxford Circus station lies 4 floors of TK MAXX greatness. As you enter the beauty and accessories hit you straight away. And then as you go up through floors of clothing to get to the homeware on the third floor. This is what I’d come to explore.
As anyone who’s been to a TK MAXX will know, every store is different. The stock that appears in each branch differs, and what you may see one day may never come back again. Products don’t hang around for long, and I’ve learned this the hard way after going back for items I’d seen previously to never find them. But for me that’s the beauty of TK MAXX as it makes the items more unique. And there’s a lot of fun walking around as you never know what you may find. You could visit 3 stores in one day and find unique treasures in each and every one. Or at least this is the excuse I use to visit more often than normal.
But of course, the price is one of the biggest draws for TK MAXX as prices are always up to 60% less than the RRP. I’ve gotten some amazing bargains in the branch. And always come out feeling pretty smug when I find some flashy brand I’d been eyeing up on the shelves at TK MAXX. Their motto of ‘big labels, small prices and ridiculous possibilities’ is always spot on and you never know treasures you’re going to find.
The space inside the Oxford Street branch doesn’t look huge from the outside, but it’s a bit of a Tardis. Each aisle dedicated to a new area from bathroom accessories and bedding to baking and cooking accessories. One of my favourites is the whole aisle dedicated to Tupperware. It’s the kind of thing you rarely ever have on your shopping list, but there’s always something that can help you out. Plus the array of candles. Anyone whose been to a TK MAXX will know the wonder of their candles. And all the Autumn/ Pumpkin candles were out when I visited so I lost about half an hour sniffing them all. Half an hour well spent in my books.
Another thing that TK Maxx do so well is their seasonal stock. At the moment it’s all Halloween based and over the years I’ve bought quite the stash of pumpkins and skulls from TK Maxx. But it’s the same at Christmas, Easter, Springtime etc. There’s always so much great seasonal stock that matches the time of year.
Considering it’s in the busiest hub of London the store was so clean and well laid out. I’m sure the staff ends up running around all day putting items back. But it was so easy to move around, even if I did have to dodge the occasional person with my slowly filling trolley. I had no list or agenda when I went into the store but managed to find some absolute gems during my wander round.

I absolutely adore TK Maxx – especially their home stuff! I’ve had some fab bargains over the years- I bought a coat on my 19th birthday which I only finally threw out when Jack was about 3 so a good 4/5 years! Jack’s had some amazing brand name hoodies from there too.
I love TK Maxx, always find real bargains there. Can’t wait to visit the new Oxford Street branch.
TK Maxx is one of those stores that I always forget to pop into, even though I love it in there. You can always find plenty of bargains.
I bought my favourite water bottle from there (one of those ones that keeps your drink cool for 24 hours) for only £7.99. Similar ones I’d seen online were £25!
That’s such a good bargain! I love that you never know what you might find in the store x
Oh wow this store looks amazing! We have a fab TK MAXX local to me but its nowhere near as big as this one. Like you sad the prices are such a big draw with TK MAXX the only thing I find is when I find something I love I buy a few as you never know when you might be able to get it again lol!
You’re so right about that, so many times I’ve bought something but gone back for more and they’ve not had them. Always changing stock x
I always forget about TKMaxx when looking to buy homeware. I always think it just sells clothes. Will have to pop in and have a look soon
I barely even look at the clothes section anymore *oops* x
That halloween range is awesome – I’d have it in my house all year round! LOVE Tkmaxx
I LOVE Homesense in TKMaxx, we have a big store in Gateshead and I’m never out. The candles are unreal, I’ve stocked up on Autumnal scents and Halloween decorations. It’s ace!

I want to grab a few more seasonal bits as although I’m at home this year so don’t have the space to put them out, I want to be prepped for next year x
I love how you’re buying stuff for your new property without even knowing your style or colour scheme yet…..I’m just as bad! Can’t stop myself from buying pretty things!
That’s why I’m trying to go for more practical things rather than decor. Although I know what the colour scheme for my office will be so I can plan for that x
ooh I’m heading into London next week, so will have to check out their new store. I love the range that they have, I can always find something I need (with a fab price tag too)
There’s just so much choice there! x
I looooove TK Maxx’s halloween range! I need to stop by there ASAP to check it out and decorate my house!
