Six Reasons Why You Should Stay At The Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort In Aruba

AD- I went to Aruba thanks to Aruba Tourism so my trip was complimentary
but all thoughts on Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort are my own

Booking the right hotel for a trip is pretty important as it’s going to be your base for the holiday. When I go on city breaks I always want to be right in the main city. Or when I go on beach holidays I focus more on the amenities and things the hotel has to offer. If you’re planning on heading to Aruba (why wouldn’t you) here’s why you should stay at the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort.

The hotel boasts 72 suites/ studios

Sometimes I find when I go to some hotels it feels too big. There are a lot of rooms, you’re greeted by tall tower blocks and the pool area can feel cramped. You don’t get that with the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort as you have just 72 suites or studios. It’s large enough to not feel like you’re in a local B&B but small enough to get to know the staff, and feel more at home.

Each suite and studio at the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort has a kitchen

When we went on holiday when I was younger we’d always go for apartments because of the kitchen. When you’re paying to go out for dinner everyday sometimes it’s nice to be able to make your own lunch. And have the option to fill a fridge full of cold drinks. Or make yourself a cup of tea in the evening.

Every single suite and studio at this complex has a fully equipped modern kitchen with coffee maker, microwave, fridge and stove. So you can choose to stay in and kitchen, or just have it there as a back up if you don’t fancy going out.

The breakfast spread is pretty great

You can add on a continental or American breakfast to your stay and have it within the resort. Dining is under a covered patio where you can enjoy the sea breeze while filling up for the day. As we were on the go so much breakfast was a great staple from freshly made eggs and sausages, to waffles and cereal.

I tend to judge places quite heavily on their breakfast selection and quality and the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort smashed it on both accounts.

The hotel is across the road from the number 3 rated beach in the world

Eagle Beach has been named the 3rd best beach in the world by Trip Advisor with almost 10,000 ratings online. With white sand and turqoise waters, and as it’s on a decent stretch of beach it doesn’t feel too overcrowded. This beach is located just across the road from the Amsterdam Manor Beach Hotel, you really can’t get any closer.

There are loads of other lovely beaches in Aruba, but being so close to one of the best in the world is pretty special.

Amsterdam Manor has a restaurant on the beach

Restaurants on the beach seem to be a bit of a thing in Aruba and the Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort have their own called ‘Passions on the Beach’. You dine with your feet in the soft white sand and the waves crashing around you which was stunning. If you do go try and get there just before sunset for some lovely views. The menu is great with plenty of meat, fresh fish and vegetable dishes. It’s open for lunch from 12pm until 4.30pm and again for dinner from 6pm until 930pm.

They’re an eco-friendly resort

Amsterdam Manor Beach Resort are working to be the most eco-friendly hotel in Aruba. They are doing everything that can to minimize the enviornmental footprint of people travelling. This includes a beach clean-up every month which guests can sign up to help with. You can purchase a cocktail from the bar in a keep cup to continue to use throughout your stay to reduce plastic waste in the beach area. Sea turtles actually lay their eggs on Eagle Beach and the staff are there to ensure they are protected from harm and there is no human interference.

Within the resort they’re doing so much to save water, energy and waste. And to raise awareness in the community and to staff and guests.

If you want to read more about my trip here’s a rundown of what I got up to on days 1-3 and another one on days 4-6.

We only look at family-friendly hotels these days. Kids clubs and early dining are essentials for us.

Very important when you have a family. It was so nice seeing all the families in the beach resort we were in. With kids apartments can be more practical than hotels as well x
