Makeup can give you the confidence to rock each day with a smile on your face, both in your personal and professional life, but it can also be a real pain to apply sometimes. If you are looking for some easy-to-apply makeup techniques to bring out those gorgeous blue eyes, the infographic below highlights some simple ways you can accentuate your natural beauty.
For example, using peach and gold together may seem unconventional but it creates a surprisingly subtle and feminine look. Earthy, neutral tones are also effective at creating a natural appearance, whereas classic black and white eyeliner always works great during the wedding season.
As if it’s not enough to have to think about what look to go for, it is also important to consider how much is too much. Is there such a thing? Some studies show that 40% of both men and women prefer faces with slightly less makeup. So maybe less really is more, it always depends on your situation.
There is also a crossover with work, perhaps controversially, women who wear less makeup are sometimes perceived as more confident leaders, rightly or wrongly. So, there’s definitely a balance to strike both in your personal and professional life.
Whatever you’re trying to achieve, the most important thing is that your eye makeup gives you the confidence you deserve, and it makes you feel good about yourself, but it’s always worth keeping these things in mind.
It doesn’t matter what colour your eyes are, you’re not restricted to just blue with these ideas, so feel free to experiment until you find a unique look you love. Some people opt to change their eye colour completely using natural contact lenses to give them a completely different look. The original source for this infographic can be found here.
While so many women feel unattractive without makeup on I’m sure lockdown has changed that. With so many of us working from home or not leaving our houses no makeup days have become far more commonplace. I think I’ve put makeup on about three times in the past four months. And my skin has loved me for it. Previously I wouldn’t have even left the house without makeup. But now I enjoy keeping it for special occasions and as a treat.
I knew it was very important to take makeup off before sleeping. But I had no idea it could cause blindness if you get an infection. When I was a teenager I used to sleep in my makeup quite often, or I’d use a makeup wipe to remove it. But now I wouldn’t even dream of going to bed without taking it off properly.
