Accessories Pull An Outfit Together – Latest Haul And Favourite Products

AD Gifted- Some accessories within this post have been gifted, but all thoughts and opinions are my own

Like most other people the clothing and items I’ve been buying has changed a lot over the past year. My fashion purchases have included far more joggers, activewear and PJs/ slippers than ever before. And there have been more function T-shirts for round the house rather than dresses for going out.

But even when I’m wearing comfy around-the-house clothing I like to add accessories to make me feel more made up. I’m wearing jewellery just to sit on a zoom call or showing off a new bag on a walk to Asda. The world has changed! I do think I’m spending money in a much different way now to eighteen months ago. And I’m sure my spending habits will change again nearer the end of the year when things are properly open again. The novelty of wearing heeled boots, or a dress and tights is calling out to me.

But I thought I’d show you some of the accessories I’ve been collecting lately to elevate my outfits.

Daisy Jewellery accessories

The first batch of items I wanted to talk about was some gold earrings I was kindly gifted from Daisy Jewellery. If you’ve not heard of Daisy they’re a British jewellery brand who are known for their beautiful everyday jewellery. They started out in London’s Portobelloo Road over ten years ago and have grown ever since. Their collections include a best-selling collaboration collection with Estée Lalonde.

All of the jewellery is crafted from recycled 925 sterling silver and the gold items have high-quality gold plating on them. The first pair I have are these stacked rope creole hoop earings* which are in the photo above. The twisted creole style of earring is quite traditional, but the shape and size of them make them contemporary and not like something my grandmother would wear (although I’m sure she’d love them too!) I love the size of these earrings as they’re big enough to make a statement without. being too bold for those Zoom calls.

Gold everyday hoop earrings

Next up are the Flow Midi Hoops* from the Estée Lalonde collection. Again like the other pair, they’re such a good size for everyday wear, but these ones can easily be dressed up for when we are allowed to properly go out again. In the ear, these look just like a hoop but they still have a butterfly fastening.

Then the final set I picked were the Artisan Stamped Drop Huggie Earrings*. I’ve developed a little bit of an obsession with huggie earrings which just go round the lobe and these are an amazing set to add to my collection. The actual huggie hoops have a light aztec zig-zag style patterning on them and the triangle drops just give them that little something extra. These are so different from the other styles of earrings I have and that’s what I love about them.

I always like to take any drops/ hoops out of my ears before I sleep but I have left these in a few times and they’ve been really comfortable to sleep in. Great for festivals and holidays when you don’t want to be taking them out all. of the time.

Rebecca Minkoff star studded bag

The bag of my dreams

Bags are an accessory I’ve been obsessed with for years. And ss soon as I saw this Rebecca Minkoff bag on social media I fell in love. I am a huge fan of anything with stars on it, and if something also has studs then I’m obsessed. But it proved to be a pretty hard bag to get hold of. After spotting it in late December I spent a month or two scouring the internet and no stockist in the UK had the bag. Neither the brand themselves or a department store/ concession etc. But I did find it on a few US websites like Saks Fifth Avenue.

I spent a while debating the price (taking into account taxes to come from the UK), and I monitored eBay to see if anyone was looking to sell this bag. But after a few months of no luck, I bit the bullet and bought it directly from Saks. After a failed first attempt the bag finally arrived with me a few weeks later and I couldn’t be happier.

It’s actually quite roomy inside with a middle zip between the two main compartments, and a smaller internal zip. It easily holds my purse, phone and everyday essentials that we all need now like a mask, hand sanitiser, brush etc. Plus I love that the metal strap can be pulled long to make a crossbody bag. Or doubled up to make a shoulder bag. It may have only made it as far as Asda at the moment, but I can’t wait to use this even more in the future.

Other accessories I’ve been loving

I’ve got 19 piercings across my two ears after getting a bit obsessed with piercings as a late teen and throughout my early 20’s. And I love my piercings, but I was never truly happy with the earrings I had in my cartilage piercings. That was until I made a few orders from Twilight London. I’ve bought a few single studs, but the ones I love so much I have four of are these small eternity click hoops. They have small stones along one side and are just big enough to cuff around my ears without moving too much. And as they’re clickers they’re so easy to put in and take out again.

I’ve always loved rings, but over lockdown, I’ve not been wearing them as much as I used to. But a month or so ago I decided to treat myself to a new ring from Regal Rose. I chose the aphrodite opal silver ring which has a rectangular opal stone in the centre. And then has three small clear cubic zirconia stones on each side, all set in a silver band. It’s big enough that it doesn’t look silly on my hands, but it’s still quite dainty. And I love it. I’ve been wearing it so often that I may have to treat myself to another one next pay day.
