AD- Items in this guide ‘gifts for the woman in your life’ have been provided in exchange for inclusion but all thoughts and opinions are my own

On the day this post goes live it’s Halloween so practically November which is utterly mad. But also quite exciting as it means it’s acceptable to talk about Christmas now. Stores have their decorations and gifts out and I’ve been hearing Christmas music playing for the past week or so.

If you’re looking for some inspiration on gifts for the woman in your life – or just for yourself – check out the goodies below.

A little sparkle

Having spent seven and half years working in a jewellers my love for jewellery blossomed. And so did my families love of it.

I don’t wear as much jewellery these days, and when I do it tends to be a bit more subtle. And that’s why I love this pink friendship bracelet* (£24.95) which you can personalise. It’s on a really cute pink cord with a solid sterling silver disc that can be engraved. You can go for the person’s name or a special date.

These types of bracelets can be a little tricky to tighten up until you get used to them. But they’re great as the sizing can be altered to fit pretty much any wrist size.

Myri do loads of other beautiful jewellery from a personalised bracelet to birthstone necklaces so make sure to check them out.

Hotter trainers

Gifts for the woman in your life that wears practical footwear

I’ve gotten to a point in my life where I will 100% choose comfort over style, especially when it comes to footwear. But what happens when you can have both?! Welcome the Leanne II active shoes* (£89) from Hotter Shoes. These active shoes have great support with Stability+ technology and even after a full day of walking my feet didn’t hurt.

They have a nice grippy sole and a breathable dual density OrthoLite ® insole for reduced fatigue. Mine have been safely packed away for my upcoming cruise so I can wear them when we go exploring off ship.

They come in loads of different colourways including a charcoal and leopard I love the look of. And you can choose both your size and width fitting to get the most comfortable fit.

Leather jacket from Yours

Transitional jacket

I absolutely love a good faux leather jacket, but usually I find any I like are just too short. But this black faux leather biker jacket* (£65.99) from Yours is longline so actually covers my bum.

This is perfect for those occasions when you need a jacket but a full on coat is just too much. It has a zip fastening and two side pockets to store all your essentials. Exactly what you need to layer over a party dress when you go out, or over some jeans and a t-shirt when you go shopping.

Denim jacket with hood

Gifts for the woman in your life that loves to layer

I used to have a hooded denim jacket when I was younger, but they’re not something you see very often. So I was so excited to find this black hooded distressed denim jacket* (£36.99) from Yours.

The number of times I go out without an umbrella and then it rains and my hair gets wrecked is unreal. So having a jacket with a built in hood is so practical. The jacket itself comes in black or blue denim with distressed detailing around it, and I love it.

It layers so well with tops, cardigans and jumpers. So it’s going to be a great addition to my wardrobe for the whole year round.

Made by cooper sleepy bath salts

Gifts for the woman in your life that loves a bath

I always have a collection of bath products on standby. But when I’m buying for myself I’d usually go for whatever is on offer in Boots. So Christmas is a great time to buy those special things people wouldn’t buy for themselves.

If you know someone who loves a relaxing soak in the bath this vanilla rose bath salt blend* (£22.50) is a great option. Firstly they smell amazing with a mix of vanilla and ylang ylang essential oils, but they’re also really soothing in the bath.

There’s rose petals in there to give you that luxury feel, and they’re designed to rejuvenate the skin. A win win in my book.

Stoneglow candle

Indulgent home fragrance

There’s something special about burning a candle. It gives you that cosy warm feeling of having a flicking flame in the room, and a good one can fill the room with beautiful scent.

Stoneglow London have over 30 years experience designing and creating handmade candles. So you know you’re in for a treat. I have the luna leather & saffron candle* (£25) which I can only describe as the scent of a beautiful man. It’s totally different scent from the types of candles I usually burn but it was really relaxing. This size of candle has a burn time of approximately 40 hours.

Arighi Bianchi are the longest-running family-owned furniture business in the UK, and you can find all kinds of treats and gifts available from their website.

Artistry skincare

Gifts for the woman in your life that takes care of her skin

I absolutely love getting skincare items for Christmas, especially when I get the chance to try new brands and products.

The Artistry™ brand has introduced Artistry Skin Nutrition™  a skincare collection that works like supplements for the skin. They have skincare products to target everybody’s individual needs, but a great place to start is the hydrating travel kit* (£55.35). Inside there’s approximately two weeks’ worth of products, so I’m taking mine on holiday with me.

The set features the key three products you need for your everyday skincare; a hydrating mousse cleanser, a toner, and gel cream. And if hydration isn’t the main skincare focus for who you’re buying for there’s also a firming and a renewing set.

I also have the  advanced vitamin C + HA3 daily serum* to try out. I’m a big fan of Vitamin C as it helps to make my skin look fresher and plumped. Plus it makes me look more awake. Vitamin C has antioxidant properties that can prevent the look of lines, so it’s something I try to use quite often. But Vitamin C can be difficult to stabilise and can oxidise and lose its potency when exposed to heat/ light and air. So this serum has 100% pure Vitamin C contained in a separate activating cap so it always stays fresh.

Exfoliator

A little at home pampering

If there’s one thing I don’t do enough it’s exfoliating, even though it’s so good for the skin. The right exfoliator removes the dead skin cells to reveal smoother, brighter skin underneath. I’ve been using Forever’s smoothing exfoliator* (£19.18) recently to try and get back into the habit. And it’s really reminded me how much my skin needs it.

There are no harsh chemicals or strong fragrances here. It just uses five natural ingredients including jojoba beads which remove the dirt, and bamboo powder to remove the dead skin cells. It doesn’t contain any of the nasty plastic microbeads and is 100% eco-friendly, something I’m trying to be more conscious about.

The exfoliator won the Woman & Home beauty award 2021 in the best exfoliator category. It was also highly commended in the ASOS beauty awards in 2022, so you know it’s the good stuff.

Disney traditions Sally

Gifts for the woman in your life that is obsessed with Disney

Am I obsessed with The Nightmare Before Christmas?! Yes, I am. But I’m sure we all know that person who has that ultimate Disney movie they absolutely love.

This Sally on Gravestone Figurine* (£75) comes from the Disney Traditions collection by Jim Shore and they’re some of my absolute favourite ornaments. They’re always so detailed and brightly coloured, depicting the characters perfectly. And what’s better that the beautiful Sally with her little cat?!
