It has been a long time since I did a London bucket list update. Pre-2020 I was doing these types of updates every six months or so, but things have changed a lot. I still go into London regularly, but nowhere near as much as I used to. Other than the odd visit to my work office or a gig I’d say I go into the capital to do things probably once a month.
Despite not going in as office I’m well overdue a revisit of my bucket list to see what I have and haven’t done, and to see what new things I want to do to my list.
We’re not starting off strong as this is something I’ve not managed to tick off my life. I pass Tower Bridge quite often and always say to myself that I need to book it. I’d want to go when the weather is a bit nicer and my next month or so are pretty packed. So this may be one that needs to wait until Spring time next year. But I think I just need to book it and not give myself an excuse.
Again another one I’ve not yet done. I did try and book one in for last summer I think but the dates just didn’t coincide right for me. I’d love to do either a superhero tour or a chick flick one, I know there’s a tour that covers places from Notting Hill and Bridget Jones Diary which would be fun.
This is one bucket list item that I can now tick off. Earlier this year me and a friend were doing a bookish day and we spent our morning in the Notting Hill area. It was stunning exploring the boutiques and the area. I’d love to go back and spend more time there.
Luke tried to take me here for my birthday last year, but it was closed. So we got so close, but again another one that’s just remained on my bucket list.
On the same birthday trip that we tried to go to Bubblewrapwaffle we did make it to Sketch. Luke took me there for breakfast which was absolutely lovely and such an experience. I am keen to go back and dine in the pink room (and use the iconic egg toilets), but that’s one for the future.
I swear all of the ticks on my bucket list come from the same birthday trip out. For dinner that evening Luke booked us into one of the restaurants in Eately and the food was so good. I had some of the best pizza and cannoli that I’ve ever had. We also explored the foodie stalls after and bought some treats back to make.
This is another one that will remain on my list. I love going to the theatre, but the right play to see at The Globe just hasn’t popped up yet. But one day!
I visited this abandoned church on a solo London trip I did sometime over the past year. It was a really cool spot to explore and see, literally tucked behind loads of high rises so you’d never expect it to be there. There were loads of people there taking photos and doing mini photo shoots. But I just took a book and sat and read, soaking up the atmosphere.
ahhh London is one of the best cities in europe, I love how charming and buzzing this city is. I can’t wait to visit it again, soon I hope.
I feel like I need to make your bucket list MY bucket list. LOL. We’ve seriously been trying to get to London for a while now, and everything here sounds right up my alley.
There’s just so much to do in London, much like a lot of big cities. I’m still working my way through my New York list as well x
This sounds like an awesome list! I would love to visit London and see these places. It can be hard to fit it all in, so it is good to have a bucket list.
The F1 arcade is on our bucket list too but it always seems so busy with stag dos, definitely need to pick the right time of day!
Yeah I think I’d need to book an early slot to avoid too many crowds x
I love visiting London and have done some of these activities but would love to do the walking tour as well as visit Notting Hill
What beautiful landscaping. I love the colorful homes.
