Items in this gifts for her guide have been provided in exchange for inclusion but all thoughts and opinions are my own
At the point of writing this post the first batch of my Christmas decorations have gone up. And that feels pretty crazy to me. How it’s mid November with Black Friday in just a few days time is madness. But I am very excited to feel super festive for the rest of the year.
This week my gift guide for her features six gifts that anyone would love. And I’d be happy to have any of these wrapped up under my tree this year.
I am a massive fan of afternoon tea, as are a lot of people in my life. So this afternoon tea experience box (£34.99) from Buyagift is such a great present to give. Not only does the recipient get to pick from a whole load of awesome afternoon teas’, but it’s something to book and look forward to.
There are quite a few of the afternoon tea choices that I have done and they’ve all been great options. Piglet’s Pantry offer a great at home afternoon tea option if you don’t fancy going out. Patisserie Valerie is a great option, and I loved the Marco Pierre White’s one in London.
If you buy this as a gift for someone here’s hoping you’re the plus one they choose to accompany them.
I love a personalised gift, it really shows thought has gone into the present. And I chose something a bit different this time, a personalised teddy bear (from £12.99)
There are loads of different designs you can choose from so I picked this cutie with four photos on his top. And I filled it with photos of both mine and my brother’s pets as a gift for my nan. I know she is going to absolutely love this as she loves my boys and my brother’s dog. The bear itself is super soft and cuddly and the photos are really great quality.
There are lots of things you can do with a personalised teddy. It would be a great first Christmas gift for a kid to keep as they grow up, or a proud grandparent. The other option I had was to get one with a wedding photo on from my wedding earlier this year. But I thought the pets were cuter.
I love a good skincare gift set. It’s a great chance to try out a new product, or to stock up on something loved. The Olay project hydration day and night moisturiser giftset (£74) is a great duo for morning and evening routines.
The set comes with a night cream with retinol, and a day cream with hyaluronic acid and vitamin B5. So you have ultimate hydration for the morning, and a hydrating anti-aging cream for the evening.
At the time of writing this post the set is actually half price at Boots so just £36 for the pair which is insane value.
We love playing games at Christmas time, and each year we love to add a new one to the collection. You can’t say umm (£19.99) is a pretty easy game to play as you describe ridiculous word combos for your team before the time runs out without saying umm.
There are challenges to do on each turn such as ‘do everything in a high-pitched voice’ or ‘change seats for every right answer’.
I know for a fact that my family are going to be awful at this as we all say ‘umm’ way too often, so it’s going to be a fun one, especially after a few Christmas drinks.
When I was younger I wasn’t a fan of practical home gifts, but now they’re my absolute favourites.
This Branco table lamp (£79) from Pagazzi is absolutely stunning with a simple satin black body and smoked glass lampshades. One shade is a clearer white, and one is a darker smoke colour so when the lamp is on it produces a really beautiful warm tone without being too bright. The lamp itself is beautiful quality, and feels really luxury.
Pagazzi have a large choice of table lamps, and other types of lighting if you’re looking for something for your home, or as a present. In our living room we have globe ceiling lights and a floor standing lamp, so this table lamp is going to match perfectly.
Candles are one of my weaknesses’ and if I could I would always have one burning in the house.
PartyLite produce clean burn, non-toxic candles that smell incredible. I have the Berry & Bright 3-wick jar candle (£25.95) which is super fruity scented with raspberries and blackberries and a dusting of sugar snow.
The burn time of the 3-wick candles is 25-45 hours, so they’ll last a pretty long time and the scent payoff is amazing. I could smell this candle before I started burning it, and even a few hours after blowing it out I could still smell it.
These are great picks. I’d certainly like to receive any of them. You Can’t Say Umm sounds like a lot of fun!
These are some clever gift ideas – any which I would love to receive. The personalized bears would be fun to give to my 3 sister!
I love experience day gifts, such as afternoon tea, as you say it is always good to have something to look forward to.
I need to figure out who I’m going to give the afternoon tea gift to x
This is such a good list full of variety! I love expereinces and the personalised gift is a great idea too.
Seems like I want to receive all these too on Christmas. Receiving gifts is the best feeling ever!
The anticipation of choosing from various teas and having something to look forward to is the perfect holiday treat. Wishing you a season filled with joy and delightful surprises!
There are some lovely Christmas gift ideas here. I personally wouldn’t mind the table lamp, it’s something I would use all the time.
The lamp is so pretty, I can’t wait to find the perfect place for it x
I think personalized gifts are the best way to go. I’ve spent years trying to find a lot of little things but as I’ve gotten older I have found that personalize gifts are just always a wonderful gesture. Great ideas!
It’s awesome to put together a gift guide for your family and friends. It makes is to fun to see what they’re gonna do.
You Can’t Say Ummm sounds like a fun game for Christmas, we love trying a new game each year.
I just know we’re going to be so bad at it as you don’t realise how much you say umm haha x
The personalized teddy bear is such a heartwarming touch, and I couldn’t agree more about the charm of personalized gifts.
I liked that personalised teddy bear. My husband gifted me last Christmas. You shared some amazing gifitng ideas here.
