Gift guides are back for 2024. I’ve been creating guides and pulling together gifting ideas for years, and they’re my absolute favourite. But like every year I’m completely thrown when it’s time to publish the very first one. This year I’m starting with the best food and drink gifts because it’s one of the best.
Our families are massive foodies so there are always some food and drink gifts wrapped up.
For the next 4-6 weeks I’ll be bringing you a new gift guide every Monday ranging from gifts for him and her to stocking fillers. So keep your eyes open.
Cocoa Chocolate are renowned for their luxurious chocolates and indulgent hot drinks and I’ve got a few goodies from their new Christmas collection.
This year they’re bringing the Gruffalo to life in chocolate form which is a winner for any kids you’re buying for. I have the trio of Gruffalo bites* (£6.95) which are made from solid milk chocolate. The collection also features hot chocolate spoons and bombs.
If hot chocolate is a winner in your house then check out the spoons like the Christmas santa milk chocolate spoon* (£4.50) or pick up a chocolate bomb. Just add the spoon or bomb into hot milk and watch it melt away into the perfect hot chocolate. I have the Christmas pudding bomb* (£4.95) which features milk and white chocolate alongside mini marshmallows. I also have the unicorn colour changing bomb* (£4.50) if you’re looking for that extra bit of magic.
There are so many beautiful chocolate gifts you can choose from so explore Cocoa Chocolates website to find the right gift.
Luke has suddenly become obsessed with chimichurri so this set has come at the perfect time.
Chimmy’s is a range of sauces developed by Michelin starred chef, Diego Cardoso and his wife, Sofia. They were keen to share the delights of the sauce from their Argentinian homeland with the British public. They tried and tested the chimichurri and the result is a rich sauce made from an all-natural blend of dried herbs and spices, combined with red pepper, tomato and paprika. The sauces use less oil than usual so they have less fat and calories than a traditional chimichurri.
The set* (£14.95) features classic, smokey and spicy chimichurri which you can use as marinades, sauces, dips or condiments. Luke loves his as a dip/ drizzled all over steak, but it also works well with other meat, fish and vegetables.
Whether you’re buying for someone who loves chimichurri, or someone who has never tried it this trio set would make a great taster.
It wouldn’t be a food and drink guide without featuring my favs at Tracklements. And the rest they keep popping up is because they do some of the best sauces and condiments on the market. The sweet mustard ketchup is now a family wide essential.
This Christmas I have a new set to share with you, the gardener’s collection* (£11.50). The set features a zingy rosemary jelly, a country garden chutney and a green tomato chutney which all sound tasty. I’m looking forward to bringing out the chutneys along with a cheese board at Christmas time as it makes the perfect addition. So I’m hoping when my dad gets this at Christmas he lets us all try them!
There’s always something Hotel Chocolat related wrapped up at Christmas time. It started with everyone getting velvetisers because they’re the best hot chocolate.
You can grab some goodies from QVC including this stocking fillers set. The set features five different chocolate sets including all three versions of the sleigh team (white, milk and dark chocolate). There’s also the enchanted forest set with milk and caramel chocolate trees, and the dozen gingerbread men. I can’t pick my favourite out of the set, but I don’t think you can go wrong with some creamy white chocolate.
This is such a great set to split up between five people as stocking fillers or additional gifts. Or if you know an obsessed chocolate fan you could give them the lot. Although if I had them all they wouldn’t last very long.
Gin is the drink of choice in our household, but tonics can get a little boring. But there’s where Double Dutch Drinks come in.
Double Dutch Drinks is a company founded by Dutch sisters Raissa and Joyce who found that most mixers lacked the vibrancy of the spirits they were paired with. And they developed their two signature flavours as uni students. And the rest is history.
Their exploration pack* (£20.15) is a great way to try out the range with 10 different mixers and tonics included. You can use them in any cocktail or spirit mixer, but for us it’s likely to be gin. Although you can drink them on their own as well. The exploration set includes flavoured mixers such as Cucumber & Watermelon, Pomegranate & Basil, Cranberry & Ginger tonic and Pink Grapefruit. My personal favourite is the double lemon so I’ll be picking that one out of the box before it’s shared out.
My brother and dad love to try a craft beer and I’m always on the search for things that I don’t think they’ve tried. So this year they’ve got the Craft Beer 12 cans collection* (£35.50) from Best of British Beer.
Over the past few years there’s been a big increase in the demand for canned beer. Not only are they convenient but they do a great job at preserving the quality and taste of the beer. The 12 can collection has a mixture of contemporary beer styles including some popular hazy IPA’s and there’s a mixture of both 330ml and 440ml cans. But the thing they all have in common is they’re from craft brewers in the UK.
Whether you’re buying for a seasoned craft beer enthusiast, or someone who hasn’t tried very many, this set has a diverse range to suit all tastes.
If you’re looking for something a little bit different for someone this Christmas then take a look at ITALICUS.
It’s a great choice for those seeking a spritz experience with a refreshing citrus blend reminiscent of all the scents and flavours you associate with a holiday. Grown, harvested, and distilled in Turin, Italy even the bottle is inspired by Italian architecture.
Mix a little bit with some sparkling wine or prosecco to elevate your drinking experience.
Savoia Americano Rosso is a certified vegan vino aperitivo features a complex blend of over 24 hand-selected botanicals. This includes bitter orange, rhubarb and pink grapefruit, along with winter warming flavours such as ginger and cardamon. Whereas the Savoia Orancio is an aperitivo made with orange wine and infused with citrus and fruit flavours.
The original Rosso bottle has a lovely rich red colour and the Orancio a paler orange, but both are made from completely natural extracts. They can be drunk neat but I think they work best in cocktails such as Negroni or in a spritz with some wine.
As someone who loves cheese I think a grater is an integral part of your cooking arsenal. And having good quality kitchenware makes a huge difference. But a shaver has leveled things up a gear.
The Black Sheep large shaver* (£49.95) has five long and ultra-shape blades. Not only can it grate cheese but also things like carrots, chocolate and nuts. And it’s such a joy to use, the handle feels really secure and heavy duty and the blades glide through food.
And it helps that the shaver looks so sleek with it’s matt black stainless-steel handle, frame and blade. It’s a looker!
Okay, it’s not directly food and drinks, but it’s a nice reminder of food and drinks, and really, what’s wrong with that (absolutely nothing, of course). There are a lot of options out there when it comes to the budget and who it is, of course. For example, when it comes to a loved one with expensive taste, well, you could look into coffee inspired fragrances, but of course, if you’re not a budget, then something like a vanilla cupcake candle isn’t a bad idea either.
They’re all amazing gift ideas, thanks a lot. The Chimichurri package is a unique gift, love it. I will order it.
You’ve got some good ones here! I have people on my list who’d enjoy the chutney and the Savoia particularly.
I am saving all these gifts ideas. This is very helpful for me, thank you for sharing it with us.
We tried that beer box previously and it’s such a good one! Love the idea of foods and drinks for xmas.
I hope there’s at least one or two that my dad and brother haven’t tried x
I really love to search for foodie gifts. My husband likes hot sauces, so I often search for new ones for him to try. The drink ideas are all fab too!
I am definitely saving this list for my gift ideas this year. You have some good ones on there.
Food and drink kits are my absolute fave for sure! I am loving all of these wonderful gift ideas and they’re perfect for me!
The variety you’ve included is fantastic, and it’s great to see a mix of sweet and savory options, along with some fun, unique picks like the gourmet hot chocolate kits.
