I’m back with week two of my gift guides, and today it’s gifts for her. Although I will caveat as I always do that these aren’t just presents for her they can be for everyone.
I can’t believe that it’s November already, it’s officially Christmas season and I won’t feel guilty about taking about it. I’ve made a decent start to my shopping but I’ve still got some bits to wrap up my presents.
Here are a few gift ideas to help inspire.
Even when I was still living at home I loved a good home item. And you can’t go wrong with a home fragrance. Diffusers are a sure win as not everyone will want to burn candles. I’ve had a few diffusers from The Copenhagen Company before and the smells have always been amazing.
The latest one I’ve tried is the fig and blackcurrant 100ml diffuser* which is £14. It’s got a sweet fruity scent, but also a warm deeper scent to it as well so it’s not too sickly sweet. There are loads of different scents from amber & vanilla to peony & rhubarb. Diffuser sizes range from 80ml to a massive 400ml.
Altruist is a brand created by Andrew and David; two friends who met in Africa. Their vision is to reduce the incidence of skin cancer by enabling more people to use sunscreen. Wearing sunscreen/ SPF helps prevent UV radiation reaching the skin. This is incredibly important when it comes to your skins health.
They’ve brought out two festive boxes the protected skin box (£30.25) and the hydrating glow box* (£29.70). I have the hydrating box which includes four products, a lightweight primer with SPF50, a moisturising body lotion, a face fluid sunscreen in SPF30 and a moisturising fluid with 0.5% hyaluronic acid. So a full kit to help throughout your routine.
I’ve been using the moisturiser and face fluid for a few weeks now and they feel so good on my skin. They sink in really well and don’t leave an oily or sticky finish. A great box set to encourage the people you love to use more protection for their skin.
I’m a big fan of presents that hold memories and for me and Luke, travel is something that holds a lot of memories. Journeys Made came about when the founder was stuck at home during the pandemic and found herself reminising about past holidays. And that’s where the idea came about.
You can buy a leather keychain* (£19) or a stainless steel necklace (£14) to add token charms to. You can buy tokens for countries, stats or counties to add on, but you can also get personalised tokens.
On our keyring we have a lot of the locations we’ve been on holiday to ranging from our first trip abroad together to Paris, right through to our honeymoon in Jamaica. Looking at the keyring brings back a lot of memories and it would be a great gift for a loved one.
If you asked me what the best gift you can get me is, I’d say books (not that I need any more). But you can’t go wrong with some reading material for anyone in your life.
I have two beautiful YA books to share with you; Something More by Jackie Khalilieh and The Love Dare by Abiola Bello.
Something more is a contemporary teen romance novel featuring Jessie our main character who is a Palestinian-Canadian gift trying to hide her autism diagnosis while navigating her first year of high school. She’s determined to make a fresh start and keep her diagnosis a secret, so she creates a list of goals to achieve. These range from landing a place in the school play to getting her first kiss. What could go wrong.
And The Love Dare is said to be he’s all that mixed with how to lose a guy in 10 days which screams out to me. It’s based around a dare that happens at the Notting Hill Carnival where Eva is dared to dance with a random guy called Saint. Then it develops and her friends set the ultimate dare, to get Saint to take her on one date. And I’m sure we can all guess what happens in the end.
Books are always a great choice if you ask me. My husband gets me a book every year as part of my presents.
That’s so good, they always form a big part of my Christmas too x
These are all great ideas! I needed this because I am a TERRIBLE shopper. I try so hard, but I always fail. LOL.
These are all lovely gift ideas. I love to receive something meaningful – that skincare set does sound amazing! I am also a book fan!
Love all these suggestions I have the leather keychain and love it and so sentimental
I need to grab a few more locations to add on as we missed out a few x
That key chain looks like a very meaningful and fun gift! I would love to get that.
Amazing gifts! I love that you picked gifts that carry meanings…The keychain with token charm is awesome, love it.
This gift guide is just what I needed! I’m always on the lookout for thoughtful presents, and it’s never too early to start planning.
