Latest And Future Home Purchases
We’ve been living in our house for almost four and a half years and over that time we’ve accumulated a lot of stuff. But a home purchase are some of my favourite areas to spend money on. Although I’m trying to be mindful about exactly what we’re buying to make sure they add value for us, or are worth the investment.
Today I’m going to chat about a few of the new items that we’ve gotten in our home. And then a few of the items on our wish list.
A gamechanger home purchase for laundry
This isn’t actually a new purchase, but we’ve only just started using it. A few years back when we first thought about our utility room we bought a triple laundry basket from Wayfair. When we came back from holiday as we had so much washing. So I pulled it out and it was a gamechanger.
I could separate out our whites and dark clothing, but also keep anything that could be tumble dried separate as well. I hate having to sort through what can be tumbled and what can’t when the washing is done. Once our utility is finished this is going to slide underneath a small worktop. This way I can keep things separated and ready next to the washing machine.
At the moment I can only find the four compartment version but it’s really similar.
A mattress topper for an even better night’s sleep
We recently got the a new bed topper from Simba; the Hybrid Topper and I’m so impressed at the difference it makes. It has up to 2,500 Aerocoil springs and a layer of open structured foam which is designed to offer extra airflow compared to a standard memory foam topper.
It adds a nice bit of height to our bed and is super comfortable. We’ve had our mattress for about six years now so while it’s not super old it can always do with being even more comfortable.
Vinyl record frames
I had some vinyl record frames from Tiger years ago but they weren’t the best. They were quite flimsy and you couldn’t easily remove the vinyl if you wanted to play it.
So earlier this year I upgraded to these Show & Listen Record frames and I love them. Not only are they a bit more solid but they have a hinge on the front that you can press and it opens up so you can slide out the vinyl.
Wishlist home purchase
A bread maker
One of the items I’m going to be keeping my eyes open for around Black Friday is a bread maker. We go through bread quite quickly in our home. We also throw away a lot of bread in our home as sometimes we don’t go through it quick enough. So the idea of being able to make our own anytime is exactly what I want.
I know it’s going to take a long time to pay for itself, but I love the idea of experimenting with flavours and styles as well. Plus it’s always good to know exactly what’s going into your food.

I use my bread maker every day ! it is so easy to use. And it makes the most incredible dough for homemade pizza. You won’t regret the investment x
Yes we want to use it for a lot of pizza dough as well as we have a pizza oven and I’m so keen to make our own dough x
You can’t beat a good mattress topper! We just got a new one for our bed, and it feels so much better.
I have to check out thos Show and Listen Frames. We have some excellent vinyl in our collection, and I think they’d be perfect for them!

We have a basket which separates the washing. It would work if some put it in the right side. We have a breadmaker although not used it in a long time

I love making little updates to our home too. I love prints – I have lots of different ones in frames up on the wall. A mattress topper also sounds like something that I would like to invest in.
