Baby Classes, Book Events And Comic Con – October 2025 Overview

November 4, 2025

I know everyone says time goes even faster when you have a kid, but I get it. Time is moving insanely quickly and she’s 4 and a half months old as I type this. I can’t believe we’re less than two months away from Christmas, it’s mildly terrifying. And I need to finish sorting out Christmas shopping in the next few weeks. I’ve already started to think about wrapping presents so it’s not a mad panic.

Again I managed to have a really nice month experiencing so much with Scarlett, but also doing things for myself.

Here’s how the month went.

What I got up to in October 2025

Luke was away for a weekend at the very start of the month so me and Scarlett got a nice chilled out. We didn’t go out much during this time but had lots of play time at home.

Over the month I’ve been out and about a bit with the little one seeing family, going shopping etc. But as I mentioned above I’ve done stuff for myself as well. So a few evenings out with friends has been nice to have a normality.

The tattoo kick is well and truly back and I went back to my fav artist for another one. This time it’s a bookish one which not only is a beautiful quote anyway but is from one of my favourite books Empire of the Vampire.

We’ve had a fair amount of fun stuff over the month. We had a few weeks of baby massage before the course ended, but then we saw all the lovely babies and mummies from that at another session. We’ve continued with baby sensory which Scarlett loves and we’re moving to a new class from November.

Over the month we’ve had two outings to see the fellow NCT mummies and their little ones which has been nice. Plus Scarlett had her final jabs for a while which is nice.

What I’ve been watching and reading

Me and Luke have been watching the Great British Bake Off which had such a great cast this year, but don’t talk to me about the semi finals. I can’t believe it’s almost over which means it’s officially almost Christmas. We’ve also been watching the latest season of Taskmaster which again has a great cast. I’ve not watched too much else TV wise at home as I’ve found I’ve not been able to concentrate much when Scarlett is awake.

I did manage to get to the cinema to see Regretting Me which did make me cry. Possibly not the best movie to watch as a new mum, but I think it was beautifully done.

All things books

I had quite a few book events this month which a festive one with Lindsey Kelk and Beth O’Leary at the start of the month. Then later in the month it was an event by M.L.Rio who wrote if we were villains which I loved. It was in support of her latest book Hot Wax which I can’t wait to read. Then I rounded off the month with Comic Con. This year was slightly different as the book stuff was upstairs away from the main comic con crowds which was so nice. It felt so much more relaxed and I had a great time at author talks and getting books signed. By the end of the day both my feet and my back were killing.

I didn’t read quite as much this month but my highlights were:

Isn’t Scarlett adorable. I am sure she will have really enjoyed being part of the baby massage classes that you took. Baby sensory classes are also great for them. I do love the sound of I own the night!!

It is amazing that you’re taking courses for baby massage and baby sensory, this is fantastic…I love the idea of taking classes that would increase and support your knowledge to raise a healthy baby. Amazing.
