I had planned on doing individual day photo diaries but because I’ve been cramming so much in I’ve been so tired that Wednesday evening for me is the first time I’ve had to sit down and do anything.
I arrived in New York Friday evening and the weekend was taken over by Warped Tour (post coming soon) and heading to Woodbury Commons Outlet Malls so there’s pretty much no photos in here from those days.
These photo galleries are a brief snapshot of what I got up to from Monday – Wednesday although I have deliberately left out anything to do with food as I am going to do separate posts on places to eat and places to get treats from, so there will no food envy here. Of course, there has also been a lot of shopping which hasn’t been documented here (look out for haul posts coming soon!)
Enjoy looking at the first half of my trip!
This is an old unused train line which runs through a portion of Manhattan and offers quite walks over the top of the roads. Great views and Chelsea market at one end is one of my favourite places.
I’ve been to the memorial before but the tour was so interesting and it was lovely hearing some of the stories of the people who risked their lives to save the lives of others during the tragic event.
Due to long queues, I never managed this before but it had some stunning views of the city.
Again something I’ve been meaning to do for ages, but it really was very busy!
This might well be one of the best things I did throughout my trip. This exhibition showcased some of the original costumes from the Star Wars movies and it was incredible to see. I booked for 930am and was one of only two people in there that early so worth getting out of bed for
Such a great museum with a lot of interesting exhibitions including some Warhol and Van Gogh paintings.
We popped along to have a nosy around the museum of sex and it was incredibly interesting with some really good exhibitions.
This was such a sensational show. Now you probably all know the movie (if you don’t then go watch it now!) But the incredible thing about this is that the kids play all their own instruments. The young kid playing guitarist Zack is one of the best players I’ve ever heard. Definitely worth a watch when it arrives in London later this year.
I won’t talk too much about this as I plan to do a separate post but I had a custom lipstick created from scratch specifically for me.
I’ve done both the Rockefeller and Empire State (with the former being the better view!) but I had never done it at night so at 10 pm I headed up to the top of the rock for some stunning views.
Wonderful – we are off to NY in September, I am loving planning for it!
