My First Experience Of Jo Malone Fragrances

August 12, 2016
Jo Malone

Jo Malone seems to be a blogger’s best friend, most images I see have a beautiful crisp bottle displayed, and many rave about them as being the perfume of choice. I’ve always seen their stand in airports or Selfridges and thought I should really check them out but then thought otherwise at the expense. This all changed last month when I was in Gatwick.

I had already decided I was going to purchase one small 30ml perfume because let’s face it the names of the scents alone were enough to draw me and my citrus loving self in. I was on my way to New York and already been pulled into the mindset of throwing money at everything I even vaguely wanted I didn’t leave with just one Jo Malone perfume, I left with two. Impulse purchases are not very me but I couldn’t say no to either Nectarine Blossom and Honey or Lime Basil and Mandarin after spritzing them around.

Thinking I’d come back from holiday, take off my rose tinted glasses and realise that I shouldn’t have spent £80 on two perfumes when I have loads already I was pleasantly surprised to find myself reaching for them on almost a daily basis. As the scents are fruity and light I find them perfect for the summer time and due to the ingredients the scent lasts a long time when spritzed on. I know how annoyed I get when I spray perfume and half an hour later I can barely smell it unless I press my nose to my wrist (making you look a little odd).

While I’d love to own the entire collection and fill my dressing table with all the pretty scents it realistically won’t happen but I’m glad I made that little splurge to see what all the fuss is about.

Have you ever tried a Jo Malone fragrance?

I have looked at these myself on several occasions and just could not choose which one.
They actually stay aromatic all day? I seem to have the trouble of spritzing my perfume and is disappears.
Might look into these more then 🙂

Sometimes it’s better to tease ourselves with one or two of a range, it keeps the desire alive for more! Those scents small heavenly. Nectarine blossom and honey sound fresh yet warming and the lime basil and mandarin: crisp, clean, with a hint of spice. I’m jealous of you right now!
