Reasons I Love Autumn

There’s no hiding the fact that Autumn is my absolute favourite season. I’m not a huge fan of the summer – especially when it’s too hot – as I get uncomfortable in the heat and don’t like wearing summer appropriate clothing, so when the first whisps of Autumn come in I’m so happy.
Reasons I love Autumn:
- My favourite candle scents are gingerbread/ pumpkin/ Autumnal smells and they are always best in the right season
- You can leave socks on while you sleep to keep your toes cozy
- It’s time to snuggle up in the duvet and not have the internal fight of throwing it on and off because you get too hot
- Lush bring out the best launches in Autumn so I always stock up
- Warm hearty dinners of soups/ stews/ casseroles are always more filling than the lighter foods of Summer
- Halloween! During September/ October all the shops start putting out their products with skulls and pumpkins over them and I’m sucked in
- I don’t get weird looks being dressed all in black like I do in the summertime
- Jumpers/ cardigans/ coats and all the clothing you can layer up because it’s no longer a million degrees outside
- Crunchy leaves as you go for a walk
- You don’t have to feel guilty about wanting to stay in as beer gardens and trips to the park aren’t quite as inviting
- Dark lipsticks make a comeback and you don’t have to worry about your makeup melting off your face in the heat
- Lie in’s can actually happen as the sun isn’t too bright to wake you up
- There’s that sneaky extra hour we get at the end of October when the clocks go back
- It’s so much nicer to drink hot chocolate and tea in the cooler weather. I’ll now start taking a flask of tea with me to work
- Boots can now become a staple in my outfits again
- Gig season is always the best in Autumn as October/ November get super busy
- It means Christmas isn’t too far away and I absolutely love Christmas

Wow, that’s a lot of reasons! Crunchy leaves, hearty dinners and specific candle scents make my list too!
I love your list, I am loving my jumpers again and the boots are out too, and my slow cooker is back x
I love putting my summer clothes (and my legs) away and getting into jumpers and boots.
OOh now one thing I cant ever do is sleep in socks, not even those beauty socks that help moisturise your feet. I am one of those people who hates wearing socks and they make me want to heave if I walk on a carpet in them. Once I am home, they are off x
I’m obsessed with Autumn/winter! I’m so excited for Christmas – not too long now x

Loving seeing lots of autumn posts, as it’s my favourite season too. I’m an autumn baby so put it down to that! Love the food, crunching leaves and fashion that season. Great post!
Autumn has to be the best season of the year. Darker nights, not too cold but not too warn either and all them pretty orange leafs. Oh and yes defiantly how much more satisfying drinking tea is now it’s a little colder <3

We totally agree about the black! My mummy loves to wear black and dark lips in the autumn and she can get away with it in the autumn and winter seasons! We love wearing boots too!
I agree with all of these except the sleeping in part, I don’t get to sleep in I’m a mum haha!
I agree, pumpkin and gingerbread is amazing and I love dark lipstick all year round but it looks even better in autumn!

I can drink hot coffee without sweating and I can wear cozy sweaters and scarves!
I was literally saying yes yes yes to everything on this list. I absolutely love wearing thick jumpers and going out for walks when all the leaves have fallen and are reds and browns!
I genuinely feel that we all have a perfect season, mine is summer, I suit a suntan, love wearing sundresses and sandals and hate the cold.
My favourite thing about Autumn is the colourful leaves on the pavements, Pumpkin Spice lattes and warm clothes 🙂
Oh I adore Autumn – my little boys birthday is in October, Halloween, Bonfire Night and the delicious lead up to Christmas! Kaz x
