Customizing My Denim Jacket

March 7, 2017

Customization, patches, and badges seem to have jumped from the 90’s and made a come-back over the past 6 months or so. I have wanted a denim jacket for ages as I’m really bad for wearing jackets and think this would be perfect for pretty much all weather, but it took me ages to find one I liked. I knew I wanted a black one cause I’m a closet goth and colour scares me (even some denim). In the end, I think I ordered about seven different jackets before I found this Topshop one which I loved, some were too short, some too baggy, one had fur on the inside which would have been too hot in the summer, etc.

Pin Badges

When I went to New York last summer I bought so many pins I actually didn’t quite know what to do with them, the majority of them from the US Urban Outfitters which is so much better than the UK version and The Strand which is a huge bookshop which had the best accessories section. And as soon as I got my jacket I seemed to go a bit crazy with them. At the moment they’re over the tops of both pockets and a few down the sides and while I absolutely love them I am paranoid I’m going to lose them (as I did with one) so I have put some super glue on them to keep them in place. When you add up the value there’s so much money’s worth on here I don’t want to lose anymore.

I love the range of pins that you managed to find. I have noticed US stores so seem to be better supplied with larger ranges of items than UK stores.

Not a big fan of pin badges on clothes but like how you’ve styled the ones you have. A lot of fun nostalgia related bits which is really cute.
