I may have mentioned it once or twice that earlier this month I headed to New York for a few short days to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. It was his very first trip to New York so we wanted to fill the time with as much sightseeing and exploring as we could (Check out my four-day itinerary here). Because of this, we didn’t get as much time for shopping as I’d have liked so I made sure I had a good list of things I wanted to get to save time. Of course, no trip to America would be complete without a Sephora haul. Last time I headed to New York I did a HUGE one and although this time I bought quite a lot I was a bit more restrained than last time but here’s a rundown of what I bought.
Milk Make Up Ubame Mascara £24/ Milk Make Up Matcha Cleanser $26/ Milk Make Up Flex Concealer $28/ Milk Make Up Blur Stick $14
I’d heard quite a lot about Milk Makeup but last time I was in the States I didn’t buy anything as I didn’t know enough about the brand. Fast forward to this trip and I wanted to have a good first base try of the brand and picked a few of what they claim to be their ‘best sellers’. I bought a mascara as the wand looked really interesting, a concealer as I’ve heard great things, a matcha cleansing stick as I love the idea of a stick and it being a quicker easier way to cleanse, and then finally I bought a blur stick just to see what it was like.
Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara $23/ Too Faced Festival Refresh Spray $24/ Too Faced Magic Crystal Lip Topper in Angel Tears $19
Next up was Too Faced and although I know you can get this in the UK I picked up my holy grail Better Than Sex mascara as it works out a bit cheaper in the US and then I was drawn into the festival collection. I’d not seen this collection in the flesh before (although I think it’s available in the Carnaby Street stand alone store) so I picked up two items.
Firstly I bought the refresh setting spray as it has a beautiful shimmer in it so I thought it would be perfect for evening wear and then the crystal lip topper in Angel Tears which is a pretty pearlescent sheen which goes over the top of your lipstick to make it shimmer and stand out although the only thing I dislike about this is that it’s a little tacky on the lips.
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna $34/ Bite Beauty Prismatic Pearl Multistick in Oyster Pearl $24/ Becca First Light Priming Filter Face Primer $18/ Givenchy Noir Couture 4 in 1 Mascara $33
Next up is a pretty mismatch collection of items which I picked up starting with the Fenty Beauty foundation. I’ve heard/ seen/ read so much about this but I didn’t fancy queuing up at Harvey Nicols for this so I thought I’d attempt to colour match myself and buy one to try and this is probably the item I am most excited to give a go. Next up was a Bite Beauty multi stick in Oyster Pearl which I bought mainly because the colour is 100% stunning. You can use it as a lipstick which is what I’d use it mostly as but also as a highlighter or an eyeshadow, both of which would look stunning.
Next up was a Becca light priming filter face primer which I saw in the little miniature aisle and it just called out to me. I love trying new primers and this would be the perfect size for travelling as well. Finally, I bought the Givenchy Noir Couture 4 in 1 mascara as I had a mini of the mascara for ages which I loved so I decided to buy a full sized version. The wand reminds me slightly of the Better Than Sex wand which I love.
Huda Beauty Brown Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette $27/ Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go Amazonian Clay Palette $23
The final two makeup items I bought were two mini eyeshadow palettes. When I go away I don’t have the room to take a normal palette so I usually end up taking one or two single shadows and never being happy with my choices so I decided some mini palettes was what I needed in my life.
Firstly I picked up a Huda palette in Brown Obsessions as I was really keen to try out the Huda formula before potentially investing in a full sized version and I love the mixture of browns, rusts and neutral colours complete with a shimmer shade in the middle. The second one I picked up was the Tarte Tarteist Pro To Go palette which is just stunning as there are three mattes and three shimmer shades and they are all absolutely beautiful shades especially the burgundy/ pink colour in the bottom right corner.
Sephora Collection Lip Mask $3/ IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream $32/ Sunday Reiley C.E.O Protect + Repair Moisturizer $22/ Brazilian Bum Bum Cream Mini $20
For the first time ever I actually bought a good chunk of skincare products as I am really trying to up my skincare game and to be honest a lot of what I bought were mini’s as I wanted to try out a whole bunch of brands and products before investing the sometimes hefty price tags attached to the full sizes.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to Sephora without picking up at least one of their own brand masks and this time I bought a lip mask as I tried them a few weeks before my trip and loved how my lips felt. Next up was the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Redness Neutralizing Correcting Cream which I am hoping will help the redness on my cheeks especially when I plan on having makeup-free days.
I bought the C.E.O Protect + Repair Moisturizer from Sunday Reiley as I have heard so many great things about the brand and I wanted to try something and for me moisturizer is what I use most of. The final item was a mini Brazilian Bum Bum Cream as it smells amazing and you can’t go wrong with a really good firming moisturizing body cream.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Minis Kit $20/ Clinique Moisture Favourites Set $18/ Glamglow BubbleSheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask $9/ Glamglow Hydrating Jelly Balm Cleanser $32
I love First Aid Beauty products so I bought the Ultra Repair Cream mini’s kit which features two mini moisturizing creams, and then I picked up a Clinique Moisture Favourites set as I absolutely love Clinique and the cream and spray are just perfect items to take travelling and have in my bag for when my I need a bit of a moisture fix.
I then bought two Glamglow products which I’d seen floating around the internet for a while, the BubbleSheet Oxygenating Deep Cleanse Mask really intrigues me as I’ve yet to try any bubble masks so I thought why not?! Then I bought the Hydrating Jelly Balm Cleanser as I am a massive fan of jelly consistently cleansers as I find they work best on my skin and anything with the world hydration in it is great for me.
Tacha Pore-Perfecting Moisturizer & Cleanser Duo $25/ Drunk Elephant Hit It Off Duo $20/Drunk Elephant NightBright Duo $28
I really wanted to try some bits from both Tacha and Drunk Elephant but the full sizes were just so pricey considering I hadn’t tried out the brands or formula’s before so I picked up three mini sets to try out and see what I think.
The Tacha set includes a water cream and a deep cleanser, then the hit it off duo from Drunk Elephant includes the whipped cream which I am so excited to try alongside the jelly cleanser which again as I said above about the GlamGlow one I love this formula. Then the NightBright duo includes a Luxury Face Oil and a Night Serum which are products I am just getting into so I’m sure once I’ve tried them out I’ll be featuring them on my blog.
IGK Expensive Amla Oil Hi-Shine Topcoat $29/ Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3 $28/ Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo $13
I bought three hair care products on this trip, again an area I tend to miss out on most times. I bought the IGK Hi-Shine topcoat as I’d watched Lily Pebbles video and she mentioned how shiny and hydrated it made her hair so I was keen to try it as I’m leaving leave in/ high shine products. Then I picked up the Olaplex Hair Perfector which I have to admit for the price I assumed would be a full size but it’s dinky but it’s meant to repair and strengthen your hair and it’s meant to work really well on coloured hair so fingers crossed.
The final haircare item is the Living Proof Dry Shampoo which was a total last minute grab while in the queue as I had wanted a mini of the IGK Jet Lag but nowhere seemed to have it in stock so I thought I’d pick this up to try.
Beautyblender Solid $16/ Beautyblender Liquid Cleanser $13/ Gucci Bloom Rollerball $34
The final three items I bought a just a mix match including two cleaning products from Beautyblender, both the solid soap and the liquid cleanser as I really do struggle to clean my sponges so I’m hoping these will make things easier.
Then I bought the Gucci Bloom rollerball as I love having rollerballs for travelling and when out and about and I absolutely love this scent but can’t justify the price of a full sized one while I still have loads of others to use up.
Anyone who shops at Sephora in the States knows how amazing their points system is so I picked up loads of free goodies to try out. I had quite a few points left over from last trip/ some online orders then racked up a bunch during this trip so here’s the 100 point items which I picked up.
Tarte Radiance Drops/ Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture/ Tarte Deep Dive Cleansing Gel/ Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara/ Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer/ Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in Opal
As I had a load of points left over and there weren’t enough 100/250 point items that I wanted I did pick up on 500 point item which was the Josie Maran Juicy Glowing Argan Treats set which I am really excited to try out and see how the products work for me.
So that’s it, that’s my entire haul. Well done to anyone who read through everything you are troopers.
Pit It
I really hope those last few products work for you. I’m not that knowledgeable in the makeup department, but as far as I know all that you sounded pretty great, aswell as getting so much, and some pretty good things by the sound of it. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it all.
Great!!!!!!! ,this are beautiful products i think having to get one of this for my girl will definitely not be a bad idea.
Oh my goodness check out your haul! It sounds like you had an amazing shopping spree in Sephora! I’m sure I have a bubblemask somewhere I must look it out and try it.
That’s an amazing haul! I went crackers in Sephora when I was last in the US, it’s just great. My buddy bought the Bum Bum cream and she swears by it!

I really like the brand sephora a lot . They sell some amazing products . I haven’t checked out the product you mentioned though. But I will soon . Thanks !
I liked the refresh setting spray. Even I love having rollerballs for travelling. Entire haul is really amazing.
That’s a lot of cool items that make-up and beauty lovers will definitely appreciate. I’d love to share this post with my daughter! She’s addicted to Sephora.
My girl uses this brand. I haven’t asked about her experiences yet. But I think it’s a good one! 🙂
Wow, what a haul. I have been to the states so many times and I have still never been. I definitely need to next time, as everyone raves about it.
oh ive never been to sephora but would love to have a spending splurge one day!
Omg! Funny that I’m reading this article today; I JUST completed my order with Sephora online. I have heard good things about MILK makeup but haven’t tried them personally. As someone interested in Asian beauty brands, I was super excited to hear that they started carrying Laneige (although some other K-beauty products are overpriced in Sephore- like Tony Moly).
What a haul! I got a makeover done in Sephora in Vegas and it was the best. I love the packaging of the Festival range of Too Faced!
What a fun shopping haul, I hope that it was all worth it.
Wow it does look like a successful haul, though I don’t blame you, it’s hard to resist all those gorgeous make up items in Sephora!
Woah you weren’t kidding that really is a massive haul! I hope you love everything 🙂
Wow. When you said a haul, I expected maybe 4-5 items. I am so envious right now! They all look fabulous and hope to see you trying and reviewing them soon x
I love a Sephora trip! I used to have one by my house when I lived in Romania and I miss it so much here in London. I’m going to New York in May so will definitely add some of the products you mention here to the list 🙂
What an amazing haul! So many fantastic sounding goodies! I’d love to try the Matcha stick & the pallet’s are gorgeous colours!
Oh! I’m loving the Huda Beauty Brown Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette . I’m currently looking for a very good palette to try recently.
You have certainly picked some lovely products. I love all the colours in the eye shadow palette , very pretty.
I remember first coming across the Sephora on Times Square and then seeing another a few blocks away. I spent so much in there during the first few days! Really would like to try their own brand masks. X
