On previous trips to America Milk Makeup wasn’t one of those brands which caught my attention enough to explore the brand but after reading up before my recent New York trip I was intrigued about the brand. As you can see from the images all of the items have simplistic packaging with just the brands name embellished across them and to be honest I quite like this clean sleek look.
The first item I picked up was the Ubame Mascara because I was really intrigued about the shape of the wand. In some sense it reminded me of the Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara but with a double dip. As you can see from the wand it is a triple ball which means that the wands hits all your lashes at seperate points so it’s really good for a great curling affect. I do love how dark the mascara is and how lifted by lashes look but it’s not quite as full a coverage as the Too faced or similar mascaras.
Next up was the Flex Concealer which is an item I am totally loving. The doe foot applicator holds a lot of product so one swipe is enough for full under eye coverage which lasts really well and I rarely ever find that I reach to top up the application.
The concealer itself is quite hydrating so I don’t find that it clings to the lines under my eyes and it doesn’t look cakey even though it’s a stronger coverage than some of the other concealers that I own.
I was keen to try something from their skincare area so I picked up the Matcha Cleanser which has become a god send for me on those evenings where I am tired and don’t have the energy to do a full skincare routine but don’t want to miss out.
The solid cleansing stick purifies, exfolidates and detoxisfies skin as well as targetting and reducing redness something which has helped on my cheeks which tend to get quite red once I remove my make up. It’s the matcha and lavender which help to reduce the redness as they soothe and calm the skin and provide instant hydration and I love how cooling and non oily that it feels on my skin. This will be a great travel item for me especially on the trips where it’s hand luggage only as it’s one less liquid to have to squeeze into the tiny bag.
The final item I picked up was a mini Blur Stick which is designed to be a colourless matte face filter to help reduce the appearance of pores and fine lines.
You’re meant to use this as a primer to create a smooth finish but I find that once my makeup is on top yes it works well to lock in my foundation but I don’t see the blurring affect that it’s designed to have which is why I tend to swipe it on top of my makeup when I see a bit of my skin which just needs a bit of a helping hand.
I’m still playing around with this stick and I’m not 100% convinced on it yet but I’m prepared to keep trying and see how it performs.

MILK MAKEUP??! Such a nice name for a brand! I’m trying to assume that they got milk into their products lol! I learnt how milk can be so important for the face; not only does it leave it healthy and soft, but also silky especially with prolonged usage. And if I’m right about this, then you have no worry about experimenting the product…I’m certain it will work out just fine. But if I’m wrong, well, you could use it and give us feedback on that, right?
I have to admit I haven’t even heard of Milk Makeup before (I’m so behind lol). It sounds like an interesting brand though and I am definitely intrigued by the mascara and that wand.
I love discovering new brands of makeup and ones that sound great. The colours are really nice and have a great pigment to it.
It’s the first time I’ve heard of Milk Makeup, am also wondering if their products actually contain milk. 😀 The Matcha Cleanser seems interesting; my face also gets red because of makeup.
I have not heard of this brand before but it does look interesting enough to try. Even if I do not use make up frequently, there are some events/functions that I have to attend which means I have to wear make up! These would also make great stocking fillers come Christmas time!
We’ve never tried MILK before however the hydrating concealer sounds intriguing as we like that it doesn’t stick to fine lines 🙂 great find from the US!
Sounds like a great brand! I’ve never heard of it before but I’m pretty sure my daughter has. I think it’s awesome that it works so well. It would be nice to have this in your make-up bag!
What a strange name for a makeup brand. It’s not one I’ve come across but I like the look of that mascara wand. I’d prefer for my mascara to curl my lashes as those eyelash curlers are scary things!
great product, they look nice the colors are really good and beautiful.
I do love reviews of brands i have nver heard of. This sounds like a fantastic brand and i love the name. I would love to try the blur stick x
I received a sample of Milk makeup in a Sephora playbox. I haven’t tried it yet! Thanks for sharing your review 🙂
I have seen MILK recently and I honestly got intrigued. I haven;t come across a review just yet until your post. I am glad I did. Now I know I am definitely interested to check it out.
Have not heard of the brand before. But i think the product is a nice and quality one. Essential to have on in that makeup kit. Dont you think so. Nice mix and feel too.
I’ve never even heard of this brand before but really like the look of the products that you’ve included here.
I have this Matcha cleanser and I love to have with me during flights, ’cause it’s solid cleanser and it’s not prohibited to have on a plane!
I haven’t even heard of this brand, what a funny name for make up! Shame you aren’t convinced of the blur stick, the idea is a good one!
