On Monday I started my new job at Asos and spent all week in training which was so interesting and introduced me to a bunch of lovely people.
On Wednesday I went to see Ready Player One and despite it being only losely based on the book I did really enjoy it.
Thursday evening I headed into London with Luke and two friends to check out Lock’d Escape Rooms in Bermondsey and we completed it. The whole thing was so much fun so expect a dedicated post coming soon.
Good Friday was spent doing a massive trip to Luke’s parents to box up a load of his things and bring it around to the flat. We now have a good chunk of things there but I currently have no idea where they’ll go.
On Saturday me, Luke and his dad headed down to Southampton to a tattoo studio as they were both getting tattoo’s sorted but I ended up getting a small one while I was there too and I am so happy with it.
Easter Sunday was spent at Luke’s parents having a yummy Sunday roast and chilling before heading back to the flat to unpack some boxes.
Five Great Things To Happen
I managed to do a lot of clearing out of old clothes which frees up a lot of space and means I have a lot of extra things ready to add to eBay.
I finished all 5 season’s of Girls and I absolutely loved every bit of it although I feel a bit lost now I have finished it so if anyone has any recommendations of shows to start watching let me know.
We managed to unpack quite a few boxes over the weekend so the flat is slowly but surely starting to look more like ours.
There’s now a record player in the flat so I can finally listen to the few vinyls that I own and I love having it there.
I went to my first sample sale at work and managed to pick up some great bargains.
Five Things Which Sucked
Due to starting work things have been a bit manic and I’ve not had quite as much time to dedicate to my blog or to myself.
With the latest Moz update my blog dropped to a DA of 33 which is a little disappointing seeing as my blog has only been progressing.
The flat literally looks like a building site with boxes and stuff everywhere and it’s hard to know where to start. I know it’s going to take quite a while before everything is sorted out and I’m just a little impatient.
Me and my mum missed aqua aerobics last week as she finished work late which sucks as it means I haven’t been in two weeks now.
Although I lost 0.5 pounds on Wednesday I know since then I have eaten badly what with all the chocolate and the extra days off work.
Five Things To Do This Week
Check out the gym at work and see if I can book in for an induction so I can start going before work.
Get into more of a routine of doing blog work in the evening as I felt like my first week of work left me without doing much.
Try and tidy up a bit more of the flat.
Put more items on eBay so I can start shifting and getting rid of more things.
Narrow down Luke’s 30th birthday options to 2/3 places so we can look at booking in a month or twos time.
I think Easter has affected us all. Those Easter eggs really are quite irresistible so I think that losing 0.5 is fantastic. Most people I know have gained weight x
I noticed on Facebook that you have a new job, how exciting, I hope you settle in soon and love it. It’s so nice that you go to aqua aerobics with your Mum, hope you manage to go this week x
Congratulations on your new job, sounds exciting. You did some great things during the week. That donut looks so yummy too, love them from Doughnut, so delish.
Your tattoo is really nice and my folks are seeing Ready Player One at the weekend having read the book, fingers crossed it won’t be too loosely based on the book x
Sounds like a busy week! The Moz updates seem to be all over the place at the moment, it’s pretty frustrating. And I’m off to see a gym tomorrow as well – looking forward to it!
I’ve possibly said congrats before with regards to the Asos role but… CONGRATS AGAIN! How flipping exciting, I love the feeling of starting a new role.
Would you say Ready Player One was still worth seeing then? Cause I’ve been avoiding it after I noticed all the pop culture references in the trailer were more recent than the 80’s.
Alsooooo – please don’t be downhearted about your DA. You blog is fab and 33 is still a great achievement.
